Lamu or Lamu Town is a small town on Lamu Island , which in turn is a part of the Lamu Archipelago in Kenya. Situated 341 kilometers by road northeast of Mombasa. I visited the island for the first time and here was my first impression.

Thank you. The village tour was entirely our idea. We just took the water taxi and told the captain to take us there coz we had heard some Lamu residents mention that it's a place where they mine the coral stones

Well I think there's no alcoholic beverages in lamu simply the locals are conservative

Most places do not offer alcoholic beverages because of the dominant Muslim culture. However there are afew clubs that offer alcohol mostly for tourists.
