I just finished Spectacular and I'm still a bit confused about the storyline, since I didn't see THAT coming 😶 It was kind of weird tbh😅 However the festive vibes were definitely there, the illustrations are gorgeous and I'm still in love with Stephanie's writing that makes everything so magical and whimsical🥰 So I feel like it's gonna be maybe a 3🌟 for me😊

Thank you for the delightful vlog! I've also been in a funk but I think I'm slowly coming out of it. That intro graphic was so cute! I'm glad you liked The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year. I gave it three stars. It just wasn't for me. I just didn't like the half mystery and half romance. I felt like I was getting mental whiplash going back between the two. Sorry I'm not trying to rain on your parade. The vlog was great! It was so Christmasy and I loved it! 💖🎄

I was also so uncomfy during spectacular. I was expecting a nice romantic holiday story getting to see the characters again. I was so upset we barely got to see them interacting and then most of the book was like creepy and ugh. I just thought it would be lighthearted and letting us see the characters again for more than 2 seconds at a time.

Stephanie Garber pitched a cozy holiday read and gave us a dark fantasy. I left a high review with the caveat this is absolutely an adult dark fantasy that should have trigger warnings. Not a YA jolly holiday read. I have a 15yo and would not want her to read this and think what happens is okay!
