Dear Diary, The Authorities have dropped me into a sterile white room they called the bathroom in which they tortured me. When they dropped me in the "Tub" it was cold and very damp they proceeded to splash me with "Water" I tried to make a break for it but to no avail... I still shudder when recall the memory. This maybe my last entry.

Sometimes it's a must. We found a cat, it had like 300 flees in his fur. That cat was happy to take a bath. We also found a couple cats, they were covered with motoroil. They really loved the warm water bath. :) For a clean cat, the bath is not necessary.

It takes out shedding hair (baths are exceptional things for spring, but best to do it on a warm day so they can go out and dry themselves). Not to mention it makes them smell better if they're outdoor cats. If they're indoor cats, then all you have to do is the spring cleaning of their fur so people who have allergies aren't getting fur all over them.

Depends, cats can get just as dirty as dogs and my beagle can reach places any cat can reach, up to about just below her front legs so she keeps herself extremely clean. Most cats do require bathes but not in excess, once every 2 to 3 months is usually good for an indoor cat, or pretty frequently for outdoor (might've picked up bugs/bacteria and are subject o the environment) because most cats clean themselves pretty efficiently but have cat nip and any other food scraps that create an odor

Also, the cat has the instinct to not move as much when being held by the scruff because the mother of the kitten would always travel by holding the scruff in her mouth.

When you grab a cats scruff it makes them tense up so they dont scratch you when you bathe them. That's how most people do it.

If he still freaks out later on, another alternative is dry cat shampoo in the form of a spray, cat wipes or powder which you brush through the fur. My cat HATES baths. The wipes are mostly for his feet since he steps in the litter-box.

The general consensus is that minimal bathing is best, as washing removes essential oils from their coat and can dry out the skin, and its stressful for most cats. Never wash the head, best to use a feline specific shampoo since they'll ingest residue, and help dry off after as wet kitties inside can get very cold fast.

Also, to those people who say you don't give cats a bath. It is okay to bathe them every so often, and honestly you should because they can't get everything all the time. Well, let me correct both of us; Saliva isn't anti-bacterial, but all saliva has anti-bacterial compounds. It's also a protectant and an enzyme laden mucus. It wets your food to help break it down with enzymes, taking first level nutrients and absorbing them. It also helps protect your teeth with another enzyme that helps enamel stay healthy. You're right about sweat glands, but I was meaning general animal care, not just cats. You bathe a pet so it can stay clean;you don't really need to even.

Liz is a girl / fan Dan met online. She shot him a tweet asking to talk, and he figured he might aswell. Then it carried on to her emailing him a lot, then texting, then speaking over Skype, and eventually playing games together. They both like eachother, but they wanted to see eachother first to kind of make sure and see how everything goes. So that's why Liz is visiting him now. And clearly they're getting along really well like they usually did, so I'm guessing they'll be dating soon enough.
