I think she moved to California... because I remember in 2011 I think after Jake was killed, her brother Steve what she was trying to take a leave of absence. I think he asked her if she wanted to go to California to see Sara

She went to Europe to spend time with her parents during this time then after the whole Liz and Nik affair and after she gave birth to Aiden Nik called Sarah in California. That was RH's maternity leave.
