Liza Minnelli "This Girl's In Love With You" from "Liza" TV Special, Sydney, 1968

Something a little different for all of you. I wanted to do a video with Liza that relates to Peter as well so here it is. It's Liza Minnelli on a TV special on the National Nine Network in Sydney entitled "Liza" in 1968. She visited Australia for the first time shortly after her marriage to Peter Allen in 1967, to visit his family and appear with him and Chris Bell (The Allen Brothers) on the TV show Bandstand and Chequers Nightclub. Australia loved her so much that she returned to Australia without Peter (he had prior engagements) in 1968, with her very own TV special. Here she is singing the Burt Bacharach and Hal David song, "This Girl's In Love With You" with a picture of herself and Peter in the background.

This was a fantastic surprise.Liza so young, so lovely and so in love. And Burt deserved a version of this level of his song. She recorded The Look of Love as well as good as this song. She should make an album only with his songs, the slow ones in an intimate mood, like this clip.
