This song is based on a true story. There was a cable car accident and 14 people died. There was a young couple with their son and the father managed to lift their son to safety before the car dropped. The first time Dimash performed this he called the writer of the song who had adopted the young boy and spoke with her before he performed it. When Dimash performs this he definitely conveys the feeling of the young boy.

it is seen that you do not take any attention to the words and to the story of what DIMASH tries to make you live and how he feels this song is and you take a crazy pleasure to watch and laugh and hear only the technique and the power in his voice .. this is a tragedy of a two-year-old child who lives the end of his two parents who die in a cable car accident and he sees them fall into the void .. after his father put him in safety after he too falls into the abyss.. a true and very tragic story

It's a cover of a song by the Chinese singer/songwriter Han Hong, who wrote it to tell the real-life story of a family in a cable car incident. Many comments mention the backstory of this song, and how sad it is, and sure, it is hard to listen knowing the backstory and not cry. If you don't know the backstory you can still feel the intensity, but without really knowing how to feel about it, and it is superbly beautiful. I wonder how precisely you can transmit emotion through song if you don't have words.

At his first concert in Bastau: This song tells the sad story of a Chinese boy (Quon Yan), who along with his family, suffered a cable car accident in Xingyi city in Guizhou province, where 52 people died, but the boy's parents held him up with their hands and he survived, though the parents died. The song was written and composed by the boy's adoptive mother (Han Hong) and Dimash sang the song for the first time in Mandarin on “The Singer 2017”, but he had a sore throat and sang through injections. The doctor said that if he sang high notes, he would never sing again... He sang! Then he made this wonderful version, already cured, at his show in Bastau!

Not your fault at all but it was unfortunate you didn't know the backstory of this song before reacting to it because over half of the emotional impact comes from knowing that story. (Shame on whomever uploaded it to Dimash's channel for not providing it!) Based on a true event, a tragic cable car accident in China in 1999 took the lives of 14 people including the parents of the little boy whose words and anguish are being expressed in the song. The parents lifted the little boy to safety as he watched them be taken from him. The woman who wrote the lyrics to the song ultimately adopted the little boy.

@@giovannigio3764 I agree that it's a wonderful performance in and of itself----but only half as wonderful as it is with the knowledge of what it is all about. I will always cringe when I see first time reactors to this song laughing and tapping their feet to the beat because they don't know the story behind it. It's actually disturbing, even disrespectful. I ache for the reactors who are so clueless and faultless. I've heard from a number of Dears that they simply skip watching the reactions of youtubers who go into this performance blind. I think it's a shame that it has to be that way. It would be so easy to fix if only the original uploader of the video had been thoughtful enough to include a brief note at the beginning as Gloria Wu did on her posting of the Chinese performance of this song on her youtube channel.
