Lizard Motorbike CRASH in Thailand (Caught on Camera)

In this video, I journey from Bangkok heading towards Chiang Mai Thailand. Unfortunately, I got into a motorbike crash with a giant lizard in Thailand. The entire motorbike wreck with the huge lizard was caught on camera during my motorbike trip from Bangkok to Chiang Mai Thailand.
I am ok, I just had some minor scrapes and bruises. We couldn't find the huge lizard, I am hoping he is ok as well.

Many of my former ICU patients weren’t admitted for severe trauma after an MVC, but from difficulty breathing secondary to rib injuries. Hard to breathe effectively when it’s so painful! Yikes! Even knowing it was coming and you are okay, I cringed when the accident happened. Thank goodness you did have on a helmet and long sleeves, for the kindness of strangers, and nearby medical help. I can’t even imagine how pricey that clinic and ER visit would be in the US. And the insurance headache! 😵‍💫 Hopefully the lizard fared as well as you and Bumblebee. Lessons learned. Safe travels! Oh, I thought the audio was better this video.

Glad you are okay. I had a similar accident in April in Phuket when a dog ran in front of me and caught my tire. Unfortunately i broke some bones so a much longer recovery, but glad to be wearing a helmet as you did. That's the difference for surviving these random accidents and recovering, and the main reason why there is such a high road fatality rate in Thailand. Just stumbled accross your channel yesterday. What an awsome adventure you are on. Very similar to Paddy Doyle's channel. I look forward to following you on your journey. I am an experianced motorcycle rider, I used to race off road bikes when I was younger. One very obvious tip, please, please, please, as a bare minimum wear at least a pair of jeans and something with long sleves and gloves. better still, get yourself some proper protective gear and a full-face helmet. I know it's hot in Thailand, but for me personaly, I'd rather sweat than have my skin ripped off in an accident. Sorry for stating the obvious, but I had to say it. Glad you’re ok man! Consider getting a high quality full face helmet. The ones that have the retractable sun visors are all compromised because that visor has to take space in the helmet which compromises the crash worthiness of it. If you can afford ($500-600) a full face Shoei or Arai, it will be money well spent. Hope you heal up quickly man!

That was scary! Yesterday, I thought of you and your channel wondering if you had any new stuff out and then here is this. Wow! Glad you weren’t going at those highway speeds when the lizard decided it was time for you to stop for the day. That is crazy the way all those motorcyclists drive between the lanes of traffic. I wouldn’t want to do that. Heal up and I am so glad you weren’t injured more severely. That was very interesting to hear how cheap it was to go to the clinic and hospital. Also, so glad you had the kind people who stopped to help. You show what type of person you are by your concern for the animal you hit. Even riding my electric bike, I have been worried that deer might jump out in front of me since I ride a lot on roads through the national forest near where I live. Heal up quickly and I look forward to your next adventure.

First glad all parties are ok. Outside mic and video angle are a good balance. All the motorbikes and it looks like you have the only yellow one in Thailand. I remember Enco/Esso/Exxon in the US mascot was a tiger. I have been splitting lanes on my Harley Davidson in LosAngeles traffic for years. So you just have to go with the flow. Yes I use a full helmet. That lizard was hard to see let alone figure out which end was its head or tail. Glad you found medical care. Thank you for sharing and have a better day.

I have seen motorcycle crash with a car at Playa del Carmen, the motorcycle driver slide few meters, he was wearing body protection and helmet. People around immediately made sure the driver did not move until the ambulance arrived. I am glad you are OK. Please keep monitoring your body. Poor lizard 😓

You need to replace your helmet. As it has impacted the ground you need to get a new one as the integrity of your current helmet cannot be guaranteed.

Glad you are ok. Driven big bikes alot and you should be careful when crashing. Have done the same thing but with a dog. It is scary. The adrenaline makes you think you are ok. Then after 30 min you start hurting everywhere. So you should always sit down and try to relax for a while and then think about next step but this time lucky you are ok. Have a safe trip from now on 🙏

Crazy times! I recently fractured 3 ribs in a MVA. Took exactly 3 weeks to heal verses the 6 weeks I was told. Thank goodness. The first 3 nights sleep were really painful. Glad you are ok!

Wow - wasn't sure I was gonna be able to watch that footage - glad you're doing ok! Good idea to take things easy for a bit - wishing you a quick and full recovery!! That traffic in the cities seems like it's the bigger threat to bodily integrity, tho.... That driving seems like a cross between the worst of where I live (infamous Vancouver area districts of Burnaby, Richmond and Surrey) and NYC. Personally I would still stick to the back routes. Audio was fine before but I prefer it this way, although it could use a touch more volume to offset the outside noise at times, not a huge issue though. Stay well!

Dude! You definitely high sided there. At the very least replace your face sheild. I always wear a full face cause I like my face. A lightweight abrasion resistant mesh jacket is what I wear in the heat. I prefer riding back roads too ' watching you ride in that crazy traffic stressed me out! So happy you're ok. Ride safe buddy and keep the rubber side down.❤

Very thankful you were wearing a helmet and not seriously injured. Hope you are healing quickly. Ironic after driving through all the scary traffic a lizard got you. Very nice that others stopped to help and a clinic was close by. Can’t believe you rode another hour and a half after that. Stay safe!
