Some additions for tips. I am big DIY person and my friends has asked me why I dont create an own channel. Not my cup of tea. But I often add some tips to videos like this. I use those bread bag tabs also on masking tape etc rolls. Then I use the hole to store them hanging from my craft room closet plastic coated wire self under side. The extra space gets used wisely. Lysol containers fit perfectly yarn skeins, even the small tearing hole guides the yarn perfectly. I also like pretty containers, when my children were young they made sure any lotion or bath product was in a pretty container. They knew I loved often the container more. 😅 I remove all the printed instruction stickers off and use nice labels to glue on them to show the contents. I also sew, so I save old towels to sew reusable Swiffer rags. Depending on the thickness of the towels, I use double or triple layers cut in pieces and run a zix-zac stitch around them. Any system works, just cut the towels large enough so they fit around to the top of the Swiffer and clip the sides together with Dollar Tree large binder clips. Then they are easy to wash in washing machine even using bleach. I have a separate smaller bucket in my laundry room so I do not use washing machine just foŕ a couple of floor clothes, but collect a few. Here in Texas it is hot most of the time so there is no fear they will stay wet and get mold. I like to watch these craft and tip videos, even if I use often most of them already, I find always something that I have forgotten to do or some of them leads me to a new idea. I even have one tip file in my laptop where I have stored screen prints. Usually I remember just from one picture what the idea the creator was teaching. But to be sure, I use KZbin CC function that adds the text on the video. I just capture the most important 1 or 2 pictures with the texts on times I do not have the material needed to try the tip right away. Hopefully I did not add too many of my additions here. Thanks Liz especially for these tip videos.

So you reminded me that I reuse my swiffer wet jet containers .when they are empty we remove the lid and I pour in my own solution of vinegar dish soap water and lemon juice or lemon water made from boiled lemon rind or lemon vinegar made from soaking lemon rinds in vinegar.do your swiffer cloths fit on the wet jet too?

I like reusing large jars to store food in my pantry. I spray paint the lids and make cute labels for them. They work great for nuts, pasta, baking soda etc.! I really liked the way you used the laundry detergent bottle!!

My dad and his dad both made 3 sided storage containers using baby food jars. The tops were secured to pieces of thin, but sturdy metal and the jars screwed into the stationary lids. From the ends it was an equilateral triangle with the jars extruding off of the sides of the triangle. You could do baby food jars, pimento jar types, spice jars, etc. They kept small items like screws, nails, other small items used in a garage. Truthfully the possibilities are endless. My grandfather probably put his together around the time my dad was born in the 1940’s.

Jars are the best leftover containers for the frig, especially during the holidays. They use vertical space are easy to handle and you can see exactly where that leftover stuffing is. Also, you can use a variety of sizes. Parmesan cheese lids fit perfectly on pint and quart canning jars. Put your leftover gravy in there and just lift the lid and pour it rather than spooning it. I use a lot of them for crafts and craft storage.

I love the ideas you have for re-using. My kids, now with their own kids, are proponents of the "reduce" philosophy, so of those items, I have bread tabs. I take my empty bread bags to the park where there's a container for them, so dog owners can use them for poo bags. "Reduce, reuse, recycle." All three are positive goals!

Recycle. Great ideas; thank you, Liz, for sharing them with us. A few to share: The silica packs are good in fabric, thread, and yarn bins. I reuse paper towel rolls by cutting them in thirds to hold my small appliance cords. Gently wrapping the cord around my hand and then sliding the cord into the tube keeps it from getting tangled. I use the same method to keep cords off the floor, especially those from an outlet under furniture to a fixture. It makes it easier to vacuum since I don't have to worry about the cord getting caught in the brushes. Another use for saved jars is to take a 2x4 and a drill to secure the lids to the board with a screw. You can then twist the jar on and off. It can be secured to a wall, but mine goes between 2 shelving units in my craft room. It acts as a stadium for the shelves so I can see the paint bottles, and the jars between them hold lightweight items like pom-poms, ribbon pieces, and Q-tips.

We reuse our Califia bottles for everything😆 the label removes easily to reveal a clear bottle. Because they are already food safe, we use them for iced tea, orange juice, chilled water and other non food liquids like laundry soap. They are lovely shaped so the possibilities are endless. When you group them together they're very aesthetically pleasing and they are such space savers. We use them for our dried pantry items as well... Rice, beans, quinoa, pasta. Please do a video on this but GIVE ME A SHOUT OUT if you do 😂 xoxo

I am a 60 year old GMA and my mom did this and I still do it, save all the extra bags because everyone that stays overnight will want to take them home to do this. I use the mesh bag that “fun pops” come in and put a never used, new small soap in the tied bag…. For our guest to use in the shower…It’s hysterical the reactions we receive, best idea ever! I have used my moms idea our whole lives, keeping the nylon bag in our shower with soap and you never worry about the soap bits as they are used until they are gone! Texans love you Liz!
