Starting the game with a more-or-less shot-for-shot recreation of the beginning of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" as a dream sequence is so wild. I guess it works as well as a tutorial for the player as it originally did as an establishing intro for Indy's character, while also easing into the transition from Harrison Ford to Troy Baker. That said, it leads me to wonder if they got Alfred Molina back to voice Satipo - I was pleased to see that the game's rendering of him looked reasonably accurate - or if they got someone who wouldn't have cost so much. Also, yes, Tony "Candyman" Todd. RIP.

If you've never seen in him in the Deep Space Nine episode "The Visitor" (Season 4) it is definitely worth checking out for any Tony Todd fans. Shows him in a much different role than how many are used to seeing him.

Oh this got uploaded really quick. Nice. I was fortunate enough to have otherwise seen this live this morning. So far I'm liking the game. Usually Indy games have been pretty good, albeit the best memory I have of one is an old arcade edition of Temple of Doom. All the same, I grew up on the old trilogy, loved em. Even The Crystal Skull was decent and I otherwise have yet to watch Dial of Destiny. Troy Baker literally just sounded exactly like Harrison Ford, amazing talent. And my what a surprise that the late Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination) appeared as the mysterious giant Indy fought with. GG and hopefully we'll get to see more of this played.

Yeah if you are invested in the into I suggest you watch Raiders of the Lost Ark even the voices he heard at the end before he woke up were sound clips from later on in the movie

Playing this without the amazing soundtrack that perfectly captures John Williams’ original score is going to take some getting used to. This is exactly why I could never be a streamer or KZbinr, next thing you know, they’ll start copyrighting voices, and we’ll be stuck watching let’s players reading subtitles with no audio dialogue 😭

I don’t understand how the trap in the ancient temple works - how did native south american tribes build working photodetectors hundreds of years ago? The pressure plates I can understand, and even the closing doors to some extent, but the “interrupting a beam of light causing deadly spears to erupt” I cannot fathom how that was made by ancient civilisations.

@@LIZZgame actually italy got first involved in ww2 june 1940 when France was about to fall. Before that it had its adventures in Ethiopia in 30's. Italy and axis powers got booted from afrika in 1943 and same year allied forced landed in mainland italy and italy quit the war at the end of the year those area not in allied controll.. north of gothic line were occupied by axis and they continued to fight for italy and Mussolini was puppet of that occupied area. Other involvements for italy in the war were Albinia and Balkans and they also had some troops fighting alongside germans in east front. I play too much war games.. especially by swedish paradox. - regular neighborhood finnish person.
