If you want a shy guy to like you, YOU have to approach him, he will never ever approach you. Another HUGE problem is pressuring him, for example asking if he likes anyone. This puts so much stress on him because he will be too shy to say yes or he will be afraid to say no because then he will be afraid that you won't talk to him again, even though he probably has a crush on you. Another massive problem is asking him out when he knows pretty much nothing about you. Most shy guys will want to get to know you first. I have been in countless situations where a girl asked me out and I was just too uncomfortable to answer and will had a bad impact on our relationship. So DO NOT DO THAT. You want to ease your way in and do not rush. Don't be freaked out if you catch him staring, you should be delighted! This means he is interested and wants to be with you but he will most likely not approach you, you have to do the approach! I hope this helps you girls out. How about if i x get much time to talk to him and we just start talking. However, i cannot see him anymore to talk more to each other after two times as he is away and he might not be in the same workplace next year. I might made a wrong move. I asked for his permission to save his number and then 1 week later i try to text him. He do respond. The conversation is going well pretty okay but still through text i can't really figure out. After that, last week, we talked again when we saw each other. Before rest time runs out, i quickly asked him if he is okay if we (me and him) get together and watch movie sometime. He x make excuses like "oh, i usually busy, x have time" instead he said let him know when and he told me what he is usually free. Sunday last week, i am not someone who likes to go out suddenly so i text him and plan the watch movie thing on this Sunday. We planned the venue and time, also the movie but its not confirm yet, both of us need to reconfirm the plan as other things might get in the way. After that, the conversation don't really end there, we texted and replied each other (not every 5 minutes though) until well its time to sleep. We x texted or replied each other every 5 minutes but the communication is going pretty okay until its time to sleep. He is not much of a texter so we x text every single day. I think i made a wrong move when i asked him to get together and watch movie as u said its too much but at that time, i was thinking: "i only have the chance to talk to him for two times more at work and that is it. If i don't asked him to get together and watch movie or just eat and talk, i might missed my chance of getting to know more about him". Note: I do realize that it could be more than friends (dream come true though) or just friends but still at that time i thought "asked him to hang out or get together or u missed the chance to even be friends with him and he seems like a guy who have his own personality instead of repeatedly copying others". I might have made the wrong move to asked him out so that i don't missed the chance to know him more as friend or more (if more, then a dream come true) but i don't know either in this case where i only get to see and talk to him two times at work and then he would in different workplace.

As a very "shy guy", I can tell you that this video is 99% truth. I could relate so much to this video because I live 12/13 of these signs. There's a STUNNING girl in my school (I'm a junior in HS btw) and she is indescribably gorgeous. also a shy guy here, yes that video pretty much tells it how it is. just the part about aproaching a shy guy: "while he is with his friends" is not what i would recommend. maybe its just me, but i allways had less trouble in a 1 on 1 situation, no other people looking or listening in. and of course text based communication. just ask to go see a movie or for a coffee, it doesnt matter he´ll say yes, just make sure its a 1on1 activity, no partys, bars or disco.(although alcohol might loosen up a shy guy, shy people arent party animals and therefore often cant handle it well) it might take some 1on1 talking to thaw him out and most likely he will not initiate any firsts: first touch, firts hug, first kiss and so on. all these steps are ... you could say "forbidden" until you do them first, give explicit permission or very strong(unmistakingly strong) signal.

I am a shy guy, I am just terrible if love and ladies are involved. Mostly because of my heavy autism and terrible past of being bullied all the time (unfortunately, that turned into plain ignoring me mostly now). But I can confirm many of the things you mentioned before you started. 1. Yup, stare and look away is very much a thing for shy guys. Thinking about her is also a big part of that, in my case so much that I can't really do much at all for days to come. Speaking to her will be near impossible because I simply freeze up. And this number 1 point you are making is not only counting for class, but also for any time in his life. 2. No eye contact is indeed a good one going with number 1, although I try to teach myself to at least try. 3. Avoiding talking to you, well in my case that is more a matter of my autism. I know i often say things that I mean with the best of intentions yet fail because the other thinks I am saying something bad. So best to shut up and not try to mess up. Shy guys in general, well it still is likely he will try to avoid talking to you. 4. Super nervous talking to her is a no brainer really, it is basically freezing up and not knowing what to do. Only thing a shy guy wants is to represent himself properly, only to get scared he will mess up and ruin the attempt or the conversation. In my case so much that I can't even talk normally or not at all. Using the internet can get some training in though, you can learn easily then how to talk to girls. Although I do need to say, personally I am someone that does not open his mouth much. I'm pretty silent... lol 5. See point 4. However the 'wait until his friends are around him' part, well I do not have many friends at all and the ones I do hare are mostly either married or to busy with work. So I am usually all alone, which may make things very scary if the girl I like tries to talk to me. 6. As mentioned before, yes the internet is a place where a shy guy can actually come to life a lot better and quicker. So yes Facebook, text messaging etc. will be a excellent thing to watch for. Personally I do not use text messaging, only have that thing to call in emergencies. But eventually you will need to talk in real life, it may take a while for him to adjust and get comfortable with talking to you. This is not because he hates you or anything, it is just because he is a shy guy. Give him time, and yes it can take a long time. But if you really like him, just take that time and support him in that. 7. Accidentally touching him, yeah that can get him nervous alright. Basically the same idea as in cartoons when a hot girl touches a guy and he melts from the embarrassment. Actually to be more precise, it will be because he goes in his head 'yes! she touched me! Oh sh*t, what should I do now??'. He will simply try to figure out what to make of it, it can easily make him sweat, make him more shy, make him look away even more or get a lot more silent around you, make him run for the bathroom suddenly, etc. 8. the 'stalking' thing as you call it, well yeah that's true. Although it may seem creepy to some, it is actually a way for him to try to discover more about you while at a save distance and without having to talk to you. You do need to exclude the fact that you and him may be in the same team, club or such things. 9. Awkward & abrupt confrontations, yeah that's true. Best for that is indeed to act normal. 10. Yup, true. 11. Becoming friends with best friend, meh... Yeah tried that once but it backfired so hard that I lost a lot of friends thanks to that. Including the girl I liked. So personally I won't be trying that again. 12. Asking directly is very common to end up badly, a shy guy tries to avoid answering 'yes' to you. And indeed he will try to ask why or tries to dodge the question. Simply because he is scared of you making fun of him. If you like a shy guy, just tell him and it will turn out a lot better for both of you. 13. Also true. A shy guy usually has this idea that you are way out of his league, so you finding out that he likes you will basically be a door that closes and locks for him. This meaning that he thinks you are off limits and he will try to hide and shy away even further. If you are interested, then you should tell him. That's the only way for him to keep that door open and not shy away further. Not flirting with other guys if you like the shy guy, yes that's very true. A shy guy will only see doors closing if you do that and eventually not try at all, it will even hurt him badly if you do flirt with others. It may seem selfish that he does not want you to flirt with other men, but actually you WILL hurt his feelings badly if you do. Best try to avoid it as much as possible and stay loyal to him. Let me put it in another perspective, if you like a guy so badly and he likes you, but still flirts with other girls. Wouldn't you feel hurt? Making sure the shy guy knows you like him is a very valid point, he will need 100% before he asks you out. And you know that will likely never happen unless you ask him first. After that, with a positive date in his eyes, he may end up asking you out for the next date. Just make sure you let him know that the date was very positive for you, give him confidence and eventually he will try harder to get back to you. You do need to make sure you either call him or text him the next day and thank him for the positive date. Make sure he gets that extra confirmation that you liked being on that date with him. Even if the date did not go as well as hoped. A shy guy does not get as many girlfriend opportunities as any other guy, keep that well in mind. He will need you to encourage him and make him feel wanted in a good way. A shy guy is most likely a guy with a golden heart, meaning he will not date you for the sex but for the whole package. He wants to be with you because he actually does love you, not because he only wants sex. He will never try to hurt you in any way, he is more a caring person who tries to make sure you are all okay. This meaning both in safety as trying to make you happy. He does not flirt with other girls, it may seem sometimes that he does but actually just being friendly. A shy guy does not want to create enemies, there for tries to stay neutral or be friendly towards other people. He will try to help you out as much as he can, or offer support if he can not. He is the total opposite of a macho guy, he is usually rather lonely and often does not have as many friends as you do. He does not make friends with everyone just because they are friendly towards him, he makes friends only by long term interaction. Love between you both is save, he really is not flirting with any other girl. Also he is more likely to give you presents at random, flowers for example. It does not have to be from a store, a shy guy is actually pretty romantic and even is willing to go out and find you some pretty flowers. Love does not have a prize card, if you want expansive gifts you really should be with another guy. Shy guys often rather save up money for later stages of life, such as marriage and children (in case that ever happens). Also a shy guy will learn to do specific things just to make you happy, learn to cook or learn to fix the house for example. They even tent to help clean the house and care for the kids a lot more then other guys would do. Something missing from this video is that shy guys often hate the whole 'hints' game girls love to do. A shy guy really hates to get annoyed by your hinting and him not understanding what you mean. You need to be crystal clear and not try to hint him into something. He will just end up thinking the opposite more likely and it will turn out badly. If he wants to play 'hints' with you, he will ask for it ;)

ahahahahahahaha tha-that was was really hard to to read with out stammering lmfao mostly because it des-described me pretty ummm.....pretty...........uhhh pretty accurately hahahahaha *nervously laughs* and yes i'm one of the shyest guys in the world because i have the same thing you do, I have ASD (Aspergers' Syndrome Disorder or, as it's basically called, High-functioning Autism) and was pick-picked on for it by other boys, but girls would always defend me and told me that the stuff they said isn't true, that eventually matured and became friends with me but it still had an affect on me and my relationships towards other girls. not to mention me and my mom always moved around when i was a kid, never staying in one place for too long (Nomadic-type moving of sorts heheh) and was to shy to make any more friends in school and the neighborhood where we lived at for at least 1 year. I've had a girlfriend before and she told me she loved being my girlfriend because she felt unconditional love with me (loyalty, loving, etc. even the kissing (i try to hide that because i don't want to just make-out with girls i want to be with them)) only thing i was missing was a job and money to buy her stuff and the like (i got her presents on christmas and she loved them to death heheheh). since then tho i have not had a girlfriend but i have been flirted with and never noticed it 'till i watched some videos on how to tell if a girl likes you and it dawned on me that i've been "hit on" 200 times in the past 4 years.......i hate mind games as well but girls don't seem to get the message that i'm completely oblivious to when a girl likes me. but if i do like them i will be incredibly nervous around her and be too scared to ask her out because i'm scared of getting rejected by the girl i like. #11 works if done right dude. i know i do that to every girl i like to great effect. in fact, that's how i got my first ever real-life girlfriend lol.

Shy guy here. This is 100% accurate. To my fellow shy guys; I find being upfront and honest with people about your shyness works wonders. I know personally I used to try and hide my shyness and attempt to "act normal" but it doesn't work. People can often interpret your shyness as you just being an antisocial jerk and therefore they don't make the effort to talk to you. Ever since I've been upfront with people about my shyness people have started making more of an effort to talk to me and I've developed more relationships with people around me very quickly. I also find social interaction easier now because I don't feel like I have to make the effort to hide my shyness whilst talking to people.

Yep.....That's what we do. I'm sorry we're confusing. We can't help it. We find it much easier to become friends than to become something more. Because becoming friends doesn't require us to actually confront you about it. Confrontation is the hardest thing for us shy guys, and we make it worse for ourselves because we dread over it WAYYYY more than we should. The fear of denial also causes us to avoid asking someone out unless we know 100% that the response will be favorable. Though it's hard for us to be 100% sure when we are too afraid to talk to you in the first place. And this just ends up as a vicious cycle that usually ends in nothing happening. I knew I was starting to have a real problem on my job after I had been talking some to a girl at work. I started getting very restless, preoccupied. Bro, i think you should find out why do you lack that confidence, because confidence is one of the things that mostly attract girls. If you find out why do you feel down, you can try work on it, improve yourself in different aspects so that can boost your confidence. ( For example if you are fat/too slim, start working out, you will feel awesome and you will see results). So once you get confident it will be easier for you to talk to girls, you can even practice talking more to girls, that you don't like that much so you improve. And if you really really love her that much you should definetly confess your feelings soon or later. Soooo I finally stopped being a pussy and asked the girl I liked for her number on Wednesday and she gave it to me. However, it's so hard to talk to her in person! On Thursday, I tapped her on the shoulder, and said Hi and she says Hey and puts her head down. She never makes eye contact with me also. Then, that night we were texting and she no replies me in the middle of our conversation. Well, as payback for that I ignored her all day yesterday and won't text her until tonight, possibly tomorrow if I get busy. Idk what to do lol, I'm trying to ask her to homecoming by next Wednesday (the dance is next Saturday) and I have no idea what my next move should be.

I am a shy guy and a lot of these signs are true for me. I'm in 8th grade and there's a girl I really like, but I am really shy around her. I stare at her a lot, and today I looked at her for a second in 3rd period and she looked at me during that second, then I looked away fast. Also if I'm sitting near her at lunch I get nervous about eating because I get afraid that I'll mess up while eating (It's kinda hard to explain)

wow Thank you this helps and explains alot.ehm if you don't mind can you give me some advice please? I suspect their is a boy in my class that might be interested in me he shows most of the signs u mentioned which was an eye opener but its just that I think he worries that it wont work out due to cultural differences because hes asian and im not, and instead of approaching him with his freinds to talk hes the sort of person thatll get embarrased and would prefer to talk just the two of us. someone blurted out one time that he had a crush on me before that comment we used to talk fairly alot and would hang about and smile but since that comment he ignores me now and I barely see him round now when I walk past him now he either looks the other direction or just at the floor and pretends to play with his hair. at break time or lunch he would hide behind his freinds or he'd be in a big huddle where he cant be spotted easily but I still sometimes catch him looking at me. nevertheless on the last day of term last week we got to wear non uniform so whatever we wanted and that day he kept staring me when ever he saw me I could tell because I can see him at the corner of my eye and when I look at him he reflexes his head away like he wasnt looking prior to this its going to be hard to smile at him if he doesnt look at me. then later down at the end of the day I was preparing to leave the building and I was in a corridor going to my locker ever one had already left amd there wasnt really anyone there besides a teacher, anyway I saw him on my way I was sure he was going to look away and walk fast but instead he looked at me approached me opened his arms wide as if to hug me (in my school when boys do that they tend to pull their arms back and say im only kidding and smile but..) he didnt, I was sure he was going to say "just joking" and pull back his hands but then all of a sudden it took a while to realise his arms was around my upper shoulder area and his head near mines I could feel his warmth but I could tell it wasn't a like touchy feely close sort of hug but just a gentle hug. it was for like 30 secs I dunno I was shocked but it wasnt long. I couldnt believe that he was actually hugging me he said nothing but a sigh when he hugged me, I was shocked and didn't know what to do so I just stood there and didn't move I couldn't move my hands to hug him back cuz my brain just froze. When he let go I think he relised what he done and became all awkward at quiet again and he just procedeed to go in the classroom I smiled at him and for some reason said "thanks" cause I didn't know what to say he just smiled awkwardly and wished me a good holiday I wished him one back still smiling and we said bye. school is closed right now but I'm worried that when it reopens things might be more awkward and worse more between us. I'm so confused does he even like me or is it just me? I don't know what to do or say, help me please😫😔😓 Thanks:). p.s sorry for the big Bible:) xx

Listen he is probably embarrassed about the comment and he thinks you don't like him so he needs his friends to hide behind so he doesn't have to confront you just try and catch him when he is on the way home from school or college and tell him how you feel and if it doesn't work out fine move on that might be a bit tricky but it's the only way to know and it's better than being stuck in that kind of weird place of uncertainty also I don't know where you live but the race of a person shouldn't affect his feelings hope the advice helps good luck

He stares at me and sneaks glances. When I catch him looking we lock eyes for a split second before he looks away. When we sit together for class he is super nervous and fiddles with his shirt and hair, always fiddling with his hands too. When I directly talk to him, he looks everywhere but at me. He also makes funny noises in class to get my attention so when I look at him, he stares at the teacher as if he didn’t do it. He also is super confident around other girls but is always quiet and nervous around me. He doesn’t do “favors” like this video mentioned and hasn’t talked to me online.
