From a music producer and sound engineer's perspective, the delicate ear candy and production finesse on display here is absolutely INSANE. The mixdown is as close to perfection as it can possibly get for this arrangement. Easily one of my favourites this year!

Not a producer but as a music student who isn't really into pop music, I agree that the mixing really stands out. The swell at 1:25 with the midi drums is incredibly mixed, the chaotic and dirty visceral synths at 2:30 are also examples of unbelievable high-end mixing.

OMG this production is absolutely transportive. I’m 72 and I felt like I was 20 again. It’s an escape into breathless youth, eroticism, beauty, love, heartbreak, a voice, music and production so transcendent and hypnotic that it erases time. Thank you Lizzy for giving us this perfect artistic expression of all the above. You are a wonder.

Lyrics: Why am I awake? Nails on the floor And soot on my tongue I don't know his name But I still taste the rum Nothing there but skin Skeletons crawl on the ceiling They know That him and his aftershave hit like a drug (drug, drug) Don't answer me I'm calling just to hear you scream And you're fading But he feels like you in between I've said too much In and out of wanting us Now you're fading And I wonder who will erase me Who will erase me? Race you to the end My innocence waits like it desperately knows That I'll crash if I don't let you go (go) Don't answer me I'm calling just to hear you scream And you're fading But he feels like you in between I've said too much In and out of wanting us (in and out of wanting us) Now you're fading (fading) And I wonder who will erase me Erase me Erase me And I wonder who will erase me Don't answer me I'm calling just to hear you scream And you're fading But he feels like you in between I've said too much In and out of wanting us Now you're fading And I wonder who will erase Don't answer me I'm calling just to hear you scream And you're fading (fading) But he feels like you in between I've said too much In and out of wanting us (in and out of wanting us) Now you're fading (fading) And I wonder who will erase me Oh, who will erase me?

Honestly, this is the best use of Collier- he has amazing instincts for a lot of this, but he's sort of smarmy and smug if you put him out front. Put him in the background and it's perfect because you get all of his genius without any of the drawbacks.

@@dmjbass Super agree. When I saw his name I was worried thinking we're going to get cringey/gimmickey woo Oohh Owoooo microtonal hums from our boy Jacob. He does that in this song. But it's tasteful and suits the song very well.

@@YaYousef5 I feel like he knows his limits depending on genre and song setting. For example this. But definitely his vocals really helped pushed this stunning track
