I'm gonna use a brazilian metaphor to describe Lizzy as a songwriter: "Mão cheia." The translation would be "handful" and in the best way possible. When someone is so good at something, it's like you grabbed a handful of your favorite candy. Or a handful of greatness in something. Lizzy is a "handful" of a songwriter. You can tell when she talks about her writing that so much of it comes instinctively and that's the mind of someone who is used to think as a musician, composer and songwriter. You're thinking about music subconsciously so you can't even tell that you are and then something beautiful "appears". Older is a beautiful metaphor for so much of life that comes and goes and uncertainty is the only certain thing. I'm also a big fan of her other single "I Guess". It translates beautifully the mind of a hopeless romantic. Much love to Lizzy, always.
