Somehow a better vocal performance than the album version, and that is flawless

Watched it like 5xs and just watched it again finding your words that made me realize we all are one of the same source, which is love. Thank you for confirming this. I found out about Lizzy maybe 5 or 6 years ago, when she had 10 k followers and was crying in her vlogs saying she may not be cut out for this life, because it takes so much out of her. Now, here she is and she deserves all her success, what a voice! Honestly the only other person I knew who sang like her, this powerful whispering, was my ex wife. This type of singing pierces right through the soul!

this whole album is so beautifully vulnerable and for that reason I have never related to an album more, mainly bc a lot of music about heartbreak these days is predominately about being done wrong by someone, but for Lizzy to be so bravely open about not always feeling proud of all your actions/self sabotaging your own life at times and even admitting to being guilty of upsetting someone who loves you, that truly is so rare to find and reflects the reality of life 🤍 I somehow hadn’t come across her much before but this album has hit me like a ton of bricks she’s a true artist and I’m so appreciative of her beautiful voice and art
@2tr6dinquwjos9 ай бұрын
Albums like Older are incredible the way in which it can feels like the pages of your diary and innermost thoughts have been ripped out, Lizzy’s vulnerability has forced me to confront and interrogate feelings and thoughts I’m even ashamed to think about myself - so thankful for the comfort in not being alone but also the welcomed emotional discomfort Lizzy has given me with this album, the beauty of authentic vulnerable art 🥲

love how the guy at the piano is like: Bro, I worked too. Praise me too. Or at least shake hands with me too 🤷♂😂😂
@estoops10 ай бұрын
The guy at the piano is Taylor Mackal, an absolute phenom of a keyboard player. Unfortunately this video cuts off before (as seen on the broadcast last night) Jimmy Fallon shook Taylor's hand and then turned to shake the hand of Mason Stoops (on baritone guitar). Then, after the final commercial break, Fallon closed out the show with Lizzy, Taylor, and Mason standing on either side of him as he held up her new album and then, again, made a point of shaking each of their hands. Too bad this video doesn't show that generous moment.
@johningram215310 ай бұрын
It was a reasonable expectation, because he knows that hosts usually greet the band members, especially when there aren't that many and they're not stuck behind a bunch of equipment. And it happened, even though you didn't see it. Sure, Taylor could have just ignored that Jimmy was right there, but since he knew a greting was likely coming (and he was right), he needed to be prepared. He has the very high-quality problem of having to experience this uncertainty while on national television, and being at the mercy of random internet commenters. Fortunately, he's probably learned to ignore that by now.

Taylor Mackall (piano) is one *very* cool cat… trust me, that wouldn’t have bothered him in the slightest.

I wrote a book that would be almost perfectly titled Lizzy McAlpine, not based on the singer, but just based on the breeding hybrid lizards at elevation to harvest for the hybrid milk/blood they squirt out of their eyes to feed the vampires after the government outlaws meat and blood. I do like the singer and her name. Cheers!!🧐

"Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Thank you for everything CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, LORD GOD, and please know that I worship no idol. Amen." Please pray these words now, pray them as you read them if you cannot look and remember them 🙏 please consider beginnning daily prayer, it is a good habit that will help you if you do it and continue to do it. Don't just read from the Book or merely say you are a member of a religion! Actually practice daily prayer, the most fundamental part of religion (or one of the most fundamental parts). What would any Holy Book be without regular prayer? It will actually help you! 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 worship the CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, THE LORD GOD and try not to worry too much about the differences between the different religions and denominations, try to think about the similarities and the things they may have in common more than the differences. Daily prayer is a fundamental part that many people do not practice although it is encouraged
