The whole album is so beautifully vulnerable and that has allowed me to relate to songs in a way I never have before. Mainly because I feel a lot of music about heartbreak these days is predominately about always being done wrong by someone, but for Lizzy to be so bravely open about not always feeling proud of all your actions, or inactions, perhaps even self sabotaging your own life at times, that truly is so rare to find and reflects the reality of life. Albums like Older are incredible the way in which it can feel like the pages of your diary and innermost thoughts have been ripped out and can powerfully force you to confront and interrogate feelings and thoughts you try to evade - so thankful for the comfort in not being alone but also the welcomed challenging emotional discomfort Lizzy has given me with this album, that is the function of pure art to me. I somehow hadn’t come across her and her immense talent much before, but this album has hit me like a ton of bricks she’s a true artist with the most beautiful voice and the amazing band just makes this album so special and absolutely perfect to me. Couldn't love it more ♥
