"I don't know how to be an adult." We are all trying. I feel the same way right now after experiencing a significant loss. This is exactly how I feel. I don't know how to cope with grief, especially since my job requires creativity, which can be draining. Eventually, things will settle down, and I'll have the energy to keep up with life with the positive attitude I had in the past. Sending love to the universe for everyone who is going through a hard time at the moment. 🙏🙏🙏

Okay but like literally the amount of intense comfort that I got from watching this… I am also going through a (mutual and loving but still pretty dang hard) breakup and also working on healing and just being an adult and this just totally made me feel less alone and like the up and down experience of healing and existing is valid and okay! (Also I HATE that click noise that the gas pump makes hi five)

Sounds like you might have depression, anxiety and possibly ADHD. Not sure. But know that you're not alone me and friends of mine are facing the same thing daily. I say this just to let you know you are not alone and you are only human. We don't have to be perfect. All we have to do is show up everyday however we want. Whatever that feels like to you each day is different and that's fine. Just know that the world needs you Lizzy. You matter and you are loved. Just take things slow and try to love yourself as much as you can everyday. Self compassion is important. The little you will thank you if you are a little nicer to yourself. If you need help reach out to your friends, family, therapist, even a stranger. Just want to make sure you are safe. I know how this struggle feels personally and I know what it can lead to if we aren't careful. Please stay safe and don't be so hard on yourself.❤

these vlogs are my favourite things ever. i definitely think vlogging activities you need to get done during the day will help motivate you to do them and recording them for the video helps you get everything you need to do, done, and sets up a little routine for you everyday. whether those clips make it to the final vlog or not, i definitely think setting up the camera, pressing record, and doing whatever you need to do will be so helpful!! i love calm vlogs like this and seeing the small activities even if its just a silent montage with background music of cleaning up a room or other small chores, it encourages me to do the same and get my life together. cant wait to see you in toronto in august!!! mwah i hope youre doing okay, im sending you so much love

Your art has changed my life in ways I’ll never be able to explain. Existence is art. Love is art. Pain is art. Over the years I’ve witnessed you turn all kinds of facets of life into the most beautiful art. It’s impossible to find a torch in the pitch black, but you’ll start to feel its warmth the closer you get :) and that navigation is art in itself, the growth, the newness. It always feels like such a downpour in the moment, but speaking from experience I promise you’ll look back on it in the future and draw a light from the way it shaped your life 🩷🩷🩷 the light you beset upon the world is so special Lizzy, thank you for existing 💜

Dear Lizzy, You somewhat remind me of myself 20 years ago, which is why I feel obligated to give you some tough love. I once too was an attractive twenty-something musician, playing big stages with my best friends yet feeling anxious, depressed and sorry for myself for a myriad of reasons. Sadness can feel safe and comfortable, just because you know it so well, like an old friend. But really: life doesn’t get better than this. You’re young, hot and a rockstar… My advice would be: take life in the face in all it’s terrible glory. Yes you’re going to age and die, probably sooner than you wish. Truly realizing this can set you free, after which you’ll be able to appreciate the present much more. I hope you’ll get there sooner than I did.

I really feel you in the part that you're unable to motivate yourself when you're alone, and that other people usually bring motivation to be active and really do things. I've been struggling with that as well, and on the really low days it's absolutely impossible to really get myself to move and create or just do like simple tasks even. Just wanted to let you know it's kind of a massive struggle that I think a lot of us are going through. I think in a way it's how our time and "era" is affecting us and how we have learned to cope and react to it. So, from one person feeling and living that, make sure to be kind to yourself and allow yourself to feel that way. Have those empty days, have those parts of yourself come out and dont' judge it, you are going through emotions and events in your life all the time, that never stops. Make sure to tell yourself you're proud of where you've ended up, cus I definitely am proud of how you are expanding and blooming in what you do and who you are. Thank you for that, you are an inspiration.
