Roberta, I was telling DH about how machine knitters can manually make machines do things with things that are truly remarkable. He took me out for 'fun' food today and I made him give me his straw so I could try this! Thanks a bunch!

CleverEwe I have been amazed at my hubby for things he does, then I get to show him things I can do that he would never touch any knitting machine, probably as he is nervous that he would break something of mine, and if that is the case, I can most times get it working again. Glad this helped you as well as many others.

You are so welcome! Yes the Bond machines are simple, but with some work, that machine can work up the same beautiful fabrics that the big sister machines do.

That is actually the LK140 machine, that was a gift from a great person. You can still find the LK140 but the LK150 where it is still being made today probably can be found much easier. Keep an eye out for the sale pages of the different knitting machines and sure you will find you one.

This was to be a surprise as I was only doing a few, but then seen that it could be more, I am very happy that I got them up, took me 2 days to upload the last set. Enjoy

Thought of weaving while doing a sock in the heel (bottom) and ball of foot as need it stronger there, but cant pull all out to hold when doing a short row at start of toe. Will try weaving to reinforce and do a quick short row by doing 2 needles each row (1 each side) . WIll go see how that experiment works. TY Hope you are well !!

That is a good idea, I will have to try that when I make my next socks for sure. What I will do is only weave the needles in WP only.

@@RobertaRoseMeads tried some mohair and sometimes works (figured it was strong wearwise), but have to start at beginning of shortrowing. (and I made sock to short). Thanks for all your inspiring info.

I don't see why not, normally the weaving yarn is thicker anyways, I suspect you are using a thin knitting yarn or the stitch is just a bit loose. If you find the carriage is hard pushing, then it means that one of the yarns are too thick but keep trying and you will find what works for you.

Hi Roberta, Can you use 2 yarns at the same time for weaving so you don't have the gaps where the purls show through?
