NFS Unbound: + more arcade (depends on your preference if it's better or not) + arguably better customization + thrilling and fun, you can feel that sense of speed + actual story + highly detailed contrast graphics with a bit tint of a cold colors filter - cartoony effect - too arcade-y (again depends on your preference) - cars feels too light - very limited cars - police felt too easy compared to the previous title (can't compare to forza) - no cockpit view FH5: + a fine line between arcade and sim + way more cars to choose + much more relaxing gameplay, cars feels more realistic and heavier + fun and many variable events like showcase, rally, cross country, etc. + gorgeous photorealistic graphics + detailed tuning and you can add real life decals images outside from the game (even though it uses third party and not an in-game feature) + cockpit view - dull story - almost like a sim if you preferred more arcade - limited customization - boring for some people conclusion: NFS Unbound is for fun thrilling feeling you looking for, even though if you are not a car guy, you can still enjoy this game much more. FH5 on the other hand is for the car guy who actually love cars, event races, don't care that much for the customization and appreciate the beauty of many different cars itself, wanted that realistic feel, but doesn't want to be in a sim territorial. overall both are highly subjective.

Cops are harder in NFS Unbound. And I've played both. Let me tell you why. In NFS Heat, even if you were on Heat 5, a pursuit outside of a race could easly be avoided, because outside pursuits, crown victorias patrol the map, and if you fly past them, it won't trigger a pursuit. Not to mention that Heat 5 cops would lose you if you got 360+ km/h. In Unbound, each Heat level changed the police cars that patrol the map (not to mention the undercover cop), and on Heat 5, helicopters are patroling too. Police corvettes and even F-150s could actually keep up with you even at 373+ km/h(seen that with my own eyes).

@@skandrope5712 maybe that's why with that cooldown system, it felt somewhat easier to me than heat. I mean in heat itself losing cops isn't that hard either, but with repair damage token it felt more challenging and a lot of case i've been busted in heat was because some of the bullshit mechanics. It's relatively better in unbound but it felt more easier to me, the chopper finally have some useful role on the chase.

forza gives you expensive supercars and hypercars like freebies but in unbound you get to build your car from scratch and you have manage your bank carefully. So it makes you have a bond with your car. Its just my take on both games. Played both.

While unbound has its fair shares of problems, I would still in a heartbeat choose to play this over horizon 5. I literally can't play horizon 5 without getting bored within a couple of minutes.

I got it on Xbox, and of course I love forza, but nahhhh nfs Just has so much life to it, the vibe of the game even the effects. And it has by far the best sounds and customisation I’ve seen in a racing game. The sounds will blow ur fucking mind when you hear them in ur own headset

Here’s my take: I enjoy unbound more only because I enjoy the craziness and action/racing. Also the cops I feel add a much more rewarding gameplay. It doesn’t look as good as Forza obviously but I don’t prefer that as much as others would. I tend to get bored in a more open game with no real direction whether it looks great or not. That’s why unbound or nfs in general has always been more enjoyable to me. I also am reading a lot of comments about the emptiness on the roads in nfs: Trust me it feels very busy during a race and you will be glad there’s not as many cars on the road as you thought you’d enjoy.

I like forza better although the customizations aren't great the tuning on the other hand is perfect I can make a car perform based on how I like it the driving also feels smoother NFS unbound driving feels off and stiff and the cars tend to oversteer alot

It’s not even fair to compare them. Forza is literally leagues ahead in terms of visuals, controller feedback, audio. I feel connected to the car and environment in FH5. NFS, is sloppy, no meaningful feedback. Only advantage is the police chases if you’re in to that. Needless to say, I want my money back.

Just a redo of heat. Same empty city streets, same country and city layouts and 90npercent of the customization looks carried over from heat. Yeah Forza h5 is kind of the same deal carrying alot of FH4 over but at least it looks and feels alot better than unbound. How is that cockpit view working in unbound 🤔 (sarcasm)

So my opinion is just based on alot of KZbin game play and from that they look similar in design. Unbound has its own thing but it just looks like it was build on heat. Just my opinion though. I prefer FH5 a lot more as it has cockpit view and more of what I llike. Wish it had the customization that unbound had though.

The reason for that is the filter than they used which very smartly hide all the LQ textures in the game. NFS Unbound improved the textures slightly but not drastically however the filter that they used since NFS Payback don't make it that realistic, even though Criterion returned the droplets on the cars (like NFS Rivals/2015) when it's start raining unlike NFS Heat.

Midnight Club would easily demolish both, considering Rockstar made MCLA very detailed for 2008 game and still is one of the greatest racing games. Still looks great, but at higher resolutions, it looks a little dated. And no, NFS is not for boys, not at all. It’s by far the closest thing to a Fast & Furious type of game, with adrenaline focused gameplay. Forza isn’t my cup of tea, got bored of playing Forza games within 5 minutes. Only MC and NFS are enjoyable to play, even after beating them. Heck, Gran Turismo is less boring than Forza, yet that is a sim track focused game. Edit: Assetto Corsa is easily a better game, also being a sim racer. NFS Shift 1 and 2 being a “sim” racer was also very fun, yet looks quite modern. DriveClub still one of the greatest games, and one of the best looking racing games exclusive to Sony.

@@imaginebreaker6360 Well, I would say yes and no. NFS Heat sounds sound more compressed, while NFS Unbound have more bass but they are too quiet when you rev them up. And you hear more the ''gas pedal kick'' sound and the crackles more than the actual engine sounds. Heck even the turbo and supercharger is louder. I would some of the sounds were better in NFS Heat and some better in NFS Unbound but overall most of them are even recycled from old NFS like the BMW M3 E30 sound which is used since NFS Undercover a.k.a. Black Box era.

I'm sticking with Forza Horizon 5, in my opinion. Because it has many cars, after I upgraded each car, I also learned how to tune up and test drive any tracks that I needed for racing. ⚡️ Even Forza Horizon 5, Festival Mexico is bigger than FH4 and FH3! ⛰️ Including bonuses, they had rally adventures and hot wheels returned.
