I found the acknowledgment that the Middle East is part of Asia very gratifying. Excellent talk all round.

If the US wants to be No. 1, just let them have, whether in name or in reality. The same can be for China, be No.2, in name or in reality. Let them compete in various values and paradigm, but leave out the militaty option, even if the US wants it. They can continue to for enemy or for their own shadow to fight, let them be. China and Asian countries can and will continue to deal with each others. The US can close their door and remain in their American hemisphere as what John Bolton claimed.

I would argue that China has no soft power in Asia. China has immense hard power but lacks soft power. Russia, India, Japan, and America do project soft power in the region.

China's soft & hard power is on the rise in Asia & globally! While American soft & hard power is in decline! That's a fact!

Disgusting. Preserving cultural forms and diversity is a real responsibility. As in the living world, conserving biodiversity is the duty. The notion of equal gray countries is evil.

The last Chinese revolution was in 1911 follow civil war ended up Mao won Chang Kaichek. Dont you think China will be declined or end up like Soviet Union once their client states no more support? Hard Choices and Why Nations Fail give view why countries leadership like China is not sustain. If we look at the Chinese history, China changed from one to another era by force. So why not another force happen again in China? It could or would be the west's bias protest when China on decline in the next 30 or 50 years. One the protest success, Then China will change their course to democratic, leader elected by people. Only that time the world is no more democratic or communist. But the world will face another problem: terrorist.

not necessarily, who are you so hostile to China? China is easy to be a great power but it is nearly impossible to be a hegemon. I don't think Chinese people are so interesting or eager to pursue China to become a superpower.
