I’m inspired by your sanctuary and want to start my own sanctuary like you guys.

So scary to me that they would just put a young llama with so much of her life ahead of her down just because she broke her leg. Animals, like us, want to live. So I'd think the animal would rather experience temporary pain, recover and live many happy years to come then just die. Makes me sick to think about. With humans we keep them alive even when there is no chance of recovery and with animals they are so quick to give up on them. Thank you so much for fighting for your beautiful llama. I can tell that you really love these adorable, quirky furballs and every single one is precious to you. It looks like she also had a cria that would have been orphan.

That happened to one of my goats. It was a complete recovery. Animals and People's bodies can heal themselves given the right nutrition and the right environment. You're doing a great job keep up the good work!

Thank you! The greatest difficulty we face is the placement of a dollar value upon animals that instantly clouds judgment. Secondly, people believe that animals should not experience pain. Well if it's within my power to reduce or alleviate that pain then great, but if there is a glimmer of hope of recovery, then the pain is secondary and often essential to the healing process. Pain is there for a reason. Thirdly, the vets just don't know that some things are possible and if we can help by adding to that database of knowledge through experience, then we have been of service. Blessings.
