Watch computer controlled model trains running and shunting in this full length running session

In this running session at Llanford Park N gauge model railway we have a fully automated session, including shunting and coupling / de coupling.
Diesel locomotives for this session are Class 42 warship, class 08 shunter , class 04 shunter, 101 DMU and the class.
All engines are running with DCC sound except for the class 04 shunter.
Llanford Park Park is a small N Gauge Model Railway layout. The size of the layout is only 1,450 mm x 600 mm or 4’ 9” x 2’
Llanford Park is based on a small fictitious village on the North Wales border with England.
The period is set between 1968 and 1973.
The layout control
The layout is DCC and controlled using JMRI running on a Rasbery Pi. The DCC command station is DCC EX running on a Arduino Uno. For the visual interface I mainly connect to the Raspberry Pi using a PC or iPad running VNC client, but anything that can run VNC client can be used. It also can be controlled using a web browser or WiThrottle if required.
The layout generally runs in a fully automated mode as I enjoy writing the scripts for automation. most of my loco stock has sound fitted. Auto uncoupling is achieved using the Dapol magnetic coupling system.

Very good! Your blue 37 will need de-TOPSing for 1973, though (it's not that difficult - I use Railtech for one-off number transfer sets). Do you have any plans to get the lower quadrant semaphores working? I've thought about it but never managed to get a semaphore to work... hence I use only colour lights. Thanks , yes agree with TOPS numbering I need to look at transfers, although I read an interesting article about TOPS numbering being introduced before TOPS actually went live, that’s my excuse 😂. Semaphores we’re finished last Sunday and now working. They are the Dapol motor driven DCC controlled via Dapol signal controller.

Hi Llanford Park, that's a great looking model railway. I've just watched this video with my grandson he gives it a thumbs up. He likes model railway and enjoys filming his own model railway for his Dylington Model Railway channel. He's not doing a bad job of filming it, I might be worth a look, although we do work strictly to rule one, but that's fine, and if it keeps him interested even better.
