Darren, retire, get a narrowboat again & you can travel every day, different scenery every day, you'll never be bored. Yes we all like different things but you both like your walks along the waterways and Kenneth will love a different sniff every day. Anyway lovely channel.

Yesterday was hot sunny which got me thinking typical. Kids are back at school had there summer holidays and all they had was winter weather now the summer holidays are over weather turned sunny

We absolutely love the canal and the setting, it’s perfect, really is. We not cruise, we just enjoy living on our boat here at Mercia Marina. Mrs B xx

@@LoveLifeTriumph And you can't plan anything because you can't tell from one day to the next what the weather is going to be like. Growing up in the 70's I'm sure we had better summers. Unless I'm mistaken

@@LoveLifeTriumph Yep. I remember those days well. And the weather was gorgeous Even on day trips the weather was perfect. Wonder if a lot of it as to do with satellites floating in space? Aircraft etc? Some years ago someone commented that the sky looks closer to earth than it used to. Which got me thinking. Or is that my imagination?

What? We haven't even had a summer. That's why you need to invest in a little day boat and cruise the rivers. Ideal for fishing trips and to the shops
