Thank you for Silent All These Years. I packed up 4 very small children and walked out ( fled) of an abusive 12 year marriage in 1995, your song gave me courage to stand up for me and the kids, and go. I’m old now, and the kids have kids of their own, but that one song of yours saved us. I’ll can never express enough gratitude.

Miki Berenyi, the lead singer of Lush, had a similar experience. Even down to the detail of him telling her how much he loves women. She said she saw right through his act. If you watch the video for Ladykillers by Lush, there's an entire verse dedicated to her experience. It's not hard to spot which one because they got an actor who bears an uncanny resemblance to Kiedis. 😂

I didn't realize until recently the he is part of the inspiration for the song 'Ladykillers' by Lush, if you watch the video of the song there is a Kiedis type character. It was based off the singers interactions with him on the Lollapalooza tour where he'd spend hours saying how much he respected women as a line to try and get her to sleep with him.

@@NathanBauman-zj6ip ? I don’t dislike Christian preachers. Some of my best friends have been Christian preachers. I was just responding to a comment and agreeing that predators can come from any background, for example Christian preachers. An example today from my old hometown is of a female teacher in her late 30s (married, mother of two) who has just been convicted of having an inappropriate relationship with a pre teen girl. I don’t dislike teachers. As for whether or not you are allowed to dislike Keidas (sic), well I guess it depends on where you live and what the laws are there.

Well if you liked ‘Scar Tissue’, you’d love Russell Brand’s two autobiographies. IMO ‘Scar Tissue’ was a good book, whereas I tired of Brand’s explanations of his jokes. Not knowing Brand’s work (as a “comedian”, presenter?) I did think as I was reading his first ‘Booky Wook’ that if there was a court case in the future, the prosecution wouldn’t have to work very hard, as Brand catalogues his conquests almost in chronological order.

I was really excited to hear her views/story on Kiedis... He's an alleged predator, & I've always respected her. I was jumping out of my skin when this video popped up! So, he comes up to her, says he likes her music... okay, here we go - damn this is exciting!!.... "And um.... and um.... I can't tell you what he said next.... But I said 'What's your name?' - because I didn't recognize him, because he was wearing an aviator cap.... I'd read an article written by him, in a magazine on the plane, a month earlier - and it said.... You can't tell him this btw, because it's embarassing!! So, he said... what he would do..... umm.... how much he loved women.... and how he would romance a woman.... And with so many men today in this business being into dinosaurs.... It was just a real.... All... all the, aahhh.... women that I was with, were just completely blushing, and.... you know... So, when I met him, & found out who it was, all I could think about was.... I feel like I'm 13 years old; I have to leave, because, umm.... I should shut my mouth!! I'm sorry. But it was an embarassing moment... Because umm... you know. It's hard not to like Anthony. He's somebody you could run away with." 🤨 Err, yeah. Thank-you for that riveting articulate insight Tori. Babbling moron.

Her inclination to like him was immediately stomped on by what he decided to say to her and the women she was there with. He decided to explicitly detail how he would fuck a woman he would happen to get lucky with, thinking the description would have her or one of her entourage drop their pants for him later because of how sensual and romantic he sounded. Unfortunately for Anthony, she had some self respect AND some wisdom and took his behaviour for what it was, an indicator that he was a total man whore and she would be just the latest notch on his belt. Saying she felt like a 13 year old girl means she was flushed with embarrassment at her juvenile "crush" feeling towards his intense sexual energy, but as a mature woman she realised only a player hones this kind of inappropriate graphic sex talk to use on a woman in the first conversation. Gross.
