I used to only really listen to women ASMR channels, but I'm glad I moved away from that mindset because this channel has become one of the very best.

@Synthetic Color the double standard you’re trying to paint here is just not true. for one, there are plenty of male creators who rely on thirst-trap/“boyfriend role play” type content, and it draws in viewership for them just as it does for women. there is a market for both, and i’m not gonna look down on people for taking advantage of that because i can very easily just...not watch their content. there are TONS of female asmr creators who make fantastic content, and have large, loyal audiences who love what they do. certainly not just “a handful.” goodnight moon, moonlight cottage, latte asmr, gentle whispering, alb in whisperland, bluewhisper, southern asmr sounds, whispersred, just to name a few favorites. all put TREMENDOUS effort and attention to detail into their videos, and produce consistently quality output. women do not have to sexually objectify themselves for people to be interested in their work, proven by the fact that the most successful asmr creators are those who do nothing of the sort. the assertion that men have to put more work into their content and still get poor viewership, while women skate by with lazy, vapid content but are more successful anyway, is numerically untrue and insulting on both sides. and to say the majority of content made by women is “cringe and clickbait” suggests that your perspective is...awfully skewed. the sentiment i see echoed throughout the asmr community is that many viewers, men and women alike, find female voices and mannerisms to be more relaxing and comforting, hence the general preference for female creators. this is of course coupled with the fact that, up until more recently as the genre has grown less and less stigmatized, a sizable majority of asmr channels were run by women just based on interest level. female creators are not favored because the average asmr consumer is a horny loser, nor because the average female creator is a brainless bimbo who is only successful because she puts her tits on screen. shocking, i know, but women can just be good at their jobs and people can appreciate the value of their work without ulterior motives. just as with women, there are plenty of male asmr creators like lloyd who grind out creative and amazing content, and there are men who rely on sex appeal and sensuality to pull in views. gender does not determine the result of “far superior content” by any stretch of the imagination. it only determines your preferences. and with that in mind, it’s plenty easy for you to just consume what appeals to you without shitting on or discrediting the work of others.

@@LISE_NR Why does every discussion about gender have to be equaled out? What click baity male ASMR channels are you even talking about? I see plenty of women using their sexuality as a driving force for views, it's a common practice for women in nearly all facets of society. KZbin has more men viewers so this makes sense. Most men would purposely skip male ASMR content like that, so it would counter productive to viewership. I think what it boils down to is that some people can't handle the idea of women's sexuality being a tool for success. The reality is that someone like Lloyd has to work harder then a hot chick would doing the same thing. It's ok if that upsets you, because it isn't fair. But that doesn't change the reality.

Odd suggestion, but would you consider doing a video with a popin cookin set - small Japanese candy sets that you put together? Lloyd...you truly understand what Asmr is. I used to watch my grandpa do the dishes when I was younger and had NO idea what that "trigger" was. You KNOW what you're doing and I appreciate you. Is it just me though or is a phone mic THEE best mic you can use? With Gentle Whispering (who is the absolute goat) I feel like she uses super expensive mics but somehow it loses a "click". I can't explain it. It's like the sound when I watch cop videos on KZbin and the mics are crap but the sound of them exiting their vehicle with all their tools and attachments clicking, just has "that quality". I dunno. Try a stirring video or slow dish washing without the water running. You're the man Lloyd! Thank you for what you do!

Great work and thanks for the vids. Lloydville is getting more world building I see. Ever thought of role-playing as residents of Lloydville? They'd be recurring characters who's stories take place inside these locations you've shown off. Like for example you could have a detective character who shows up to Lloyd's Diner in the morning and has a very quiet and pleasant conversation about a case to his partner (us/the camera) for a video. Kinda like a mix of these videos and those x files videos you did. You could come up with all sorts of wacky characters who all live in Lloydville to play as. They could all be named Lloyd too. That'd be funny and even a little eerie. Idk, just a thought I randomly had. I don't know much about what goes into making ASMR videos though, so hopefully this all doesn't sound too ignorant lol
