Holyrood Palace / Holyroodhouse Palace Edinburgh Scotland. Home of Mary, Queen of Scots her personal chambers are exquisite. The arrangement of where items are has changed over the years and they do not have as many of her personal items as they did in the past but the Paintings, Tapestries and furniture are amazing. Queen Elizabeth still spends 1 week a year at the palace.

The music was wonderful but because of the camera work I scrolled through and only stopped momentarily here and there because watching this on my phone is ridiculous . I appreciate the effort but it would have been wonderful had she turned the camera sideways and then it would fill my whole phone screen instead of only the tiny middle of it

There are people in another thread who are all related back to her and my family goes to Alfred the first William the Conqueror Eleanor of Aquitaine and many others . Who knows how many hundreds of thousands if not millions of people out there have the same common ancestors to them as do I . You just never know when you meet someone if they're actually related to you from way back and it's pretty cool

I feel so sad for Queen Mary. She had a tumultuous life right from her birth and very little control of the things that happened to her. She was a frail sick old lady by the time she was executed on trumped up charges. I think Queen Elizabeth was cruel to her when she could have helped her.

For example , Anne of Cleves , the wife of Henry who was smart enough to allow him to annul the marriage and then they stayed friends until his dying day ; he treated her will and gave her some beautiful properties and she continued to live as royalty ... she supposedly outlived almost everybody and yet she only died at the age of 41 .

People with the common ancestors should try to find a way to meet . Someone I was friends with decades ago found out we had a common ancestor way back ... I can't remember which one now . Mary Queen of Scots...Lord bless the soul of the last great and majestic queen of Scotland!! She was a twice anointed queen..once to Scotland and once to France and Catholic. She was treated horribly. Holyrood Palace was her home, and all though she was related to Henry the 8th and cousin to Elizabeth 1, I dont feel that any of the pictures other than Mary's son should be in Holyrood palace and of course Mary.

I visited Holyrood Palace in 1979 & 1984, At that time, both tours were short & we never saw the King's Rm. or the Queens. This video makes me wish to again visit and actually see Holyrood Palace. I do not like the way the video merely panned low over the King's portrait gallery not toward the end when Queens Elizabeth 1st portrait was mentioned but the video showed the bottom of the frame-------
