Just got back from a 3 nighter at this beautiful location. Found mainly after watching your original post. As previous comments have alluded to, this site is being used by other groups who are maybe not as careful about taking their rubbish back with them. When I arrived, the place was in a dreadful state! By that I mean somebody had camped there and then maybe had to leave in a hurry because they had just left everything!! And I mean everything - from empty water bottles, ice packs, cooking utensils, pots, pans, tarps, tinned food, a quarter can of petrol, chainsaw oil, etc! The latter two items would seem to suggest that whoever stayed there were working the forest, approx 18 months ago, judging by the age and condition of this rubbish. This led me to wonder what National Resources Wales would have to say for themselves if they knew that their own employees were ruining the land they're meant to be responsible for?! My original plan was to take it all back with me but by the time I had bundled it all together, it was just too big and heavy to transport safely, so unfortunately, I had to leave it for someone else to hopefully take back. But apart from that eyesore, I had an amazing time and can't wait to go back next year.

we also found this spot about a 2 weeks after you went there if this was posted just after you got back, i built a proper stone fire place there for the future, the structure is still there and suitable, the trees have suffered with the long heat wave from last year and a lot have toppled, if you go back there be very careful, i dont think we are the only ones to use it, ive seen evidence of at least 2 other groups going there (not including us or you guys) some of them dont look after the site either so some rubbish was left there when we returned a few weeks ago, have fun and be safe.

Yes argeed, I will always ensure that I leave the site better than I found it, and take all rubbish with us.
