Yea it’s literally the Chinese or rebrand stuff off eBay. Found this whole gas tank and fuel sender shopping. Accept they nickel and dime the shit out of you for it and your $200 part order turns into a $900 one for a pair of door cards. eBay is tons cheaper for the same literal parts.

yes trust me I save or refurbish anything I can. Been building and rebuilding cars for the last 20 years.. But I refuse to over pay for brothers or LMC, you can buy genuine OEM parts for less than LMC/Brothers repop Chinese parts.

@@mrmidnight32 Total agree. All from China or Taiwan. And some of the parts they sell will not work or need to be modified to work which they don't tell you. I sent pictures of original and their new stuff to show the difference and had to pull teeth to get anyone to answer, I try to make anything original work by cleaning and repairing. It makes it hard for a 16 year old kid trying to fix up his truck and learn on a budget. They think everyone has loads of money. I do like Kevin and his videos . He is defintley a big help. Just wish the parts were better quality and a little more honesty.

I use a 1/2in peace of rubber hose, split it to fit over that last door peace you worked on and put a small zip tie on it and it works the same way. Mine has been on my 1991 GMC Suburban you see by this comment for 16 years. Thanks for all the other tip. I get all the parts for my truck from LMC-TRUCK they have everything!

The door hinge will cause that door closing problem. It says and won't line up with the pin. Thank you for making the 1/4 window look so easy. Always been told it's better to send out or buy done.

Yea but buying 1 peice at a time is annoying should be able to get a full kit for a decent price instead of slowly nickel and diming you on small parts and in your catalog all the seals should be in a kit cause your not just going to replace one seal. And rivets should be included anyway considering your going to be paying nearly 200 dollars or more to rebuild both doors make it a kit please. Life would be easier

How did you get the roll up glass out without removing the vent window? I watched this video over and over and all I could figure out is the rear channel comes out first or something. I even tried slowing down the playback to .25 normal speed and I couldn't figure out what you are doing.

Any guidance on how to remove the sash & rubber (driver & passenger door) from the glass (much difficulty getting mine separated)? Also, in the LMC catalog & website, the rubber piece that goes between the sash and window NOTES that it is for truck through 1980. My truck has a rubber piece between the sash & glass. Will the rubber in the catalog/website work for my 1986 K20? Thanks :)

So I got the outer window seal but it was never shown how the inner one goes as it gets installed in one of the cutaways around 13:49 minutes into the video and transitions to the next step of installing the complete channel window seal. Is the installation for the outer and inner window seals, not the channels going up both sides as I got that too, the same? I've been having issues trying to get mine to install onto my 87 custom deluxe.

Is a stiffer kit available. The doors are so thin around window scraper seal and just sheet metal in center of door, about ever door has a dent right in the center.

LMC: “If you’re going to be replacing the internals you might as well replace the wear items, money we’ll spend” $400 total: LMC cart now $1,950. If they didn’t nickel and dime you for every fastener, bolt, trim and panel this site would be great. But when a sun screen assembly cost you $40 but the bird and bolts to finish ends up costing $500 when done it’s a rip off. Especially when the same companies and exact parts numbers are on eBay for 50% less.

I bought the LMC truck rubber seal kit in 2011 and its all cracked up, this is a show truck that sits in a garage under cover too, almost never in the sun,also the rubber was too thick at the bottom and the door panel doesnt sit right, i was very dissapointed, the orignal factory GM rubber didnt look that bad, one of the few things i bought from this company i was disspointed in i tool black sylicone and filled the cracks in.

Hello. Yesterday, I replaced the passenger side power window motor (acdelco) and it worked good until today when I replaced the window channel guide seal and now it struggles and won't go all the way up without me pushing it up. Did I do something wrong or does the seal need to break in or what?

Those vent windows are a PITA no matter who you are either old pro or not. That rubber molding is tight in the channel and takes time to get seated properly. Good luck to you if you decide to tackle it. Pay someone who has done a few before if possible.

Quick quetion Kevin, Do you know if it might be a common practice for a fabricator to change the window frame of a 69' Chevrolet door? I have a 69 suburban and the only difference in the doors compared to a 69 truck are the top right hand corner. It is square on the suburban and round on the truck. I have two perfect truck doors so I was wondering is it possible to either remove the whole frame or just cut and piece...they are spot welded in from the factory...if you say go, I'll remove the spot welds and swap the whole frame. If that will cause rigidity problems I may cut and piece.

H-E-L-P! ! ! My door latch stopped working when the door was closed. It appears to be working but the door will not un-latch from the striker. Has this happened to anyone else out there? I was replacing the channel felt and believe a small piece of the dry rotted old felt channel fell into the door latch mechanism and something is blocking the bear claw from releasing the striker. I have the interior door panel off and can peer into the inside of the door. Any Help is appreciated.

Raymond O'Sullivan sounds more like the plastic clip broke on one side or another. Gonna have to get in on the other side and take the panel off and pull it open from the inside and then replace the plastic clip

I think my latch broke or is jammed. I closed the door and when I tried to open it again the door handle button stuck in and I can't unlock it or do anything. I tried everything I could think of and things I saw guys do when this problem occurs. Nothing is letting this door unlock or open. I just put a beautiful new set of LMC door panels on about 2 months ago, the premium ones with the trim and door pull straps. How am I going to get this door panel of with the door stuck closed? I had plenty of jokes on Google, advising me to cut a hole in the door or cut my panel off with a cutoff wheel. Hopefully they were just being smart and not serious. I'm stumped. Of course it's the driver side so now I climb in the passenger side and wiggle my fat butt around the shifter definitely not cool to onlookers. Please help me!

Some how difficult to buy their parts. I even called today to get assistant from their sales rep and was told - I don't have anybody to help with mechanical recommendations. Ummm ...really? Nobody asked for mechanical advices, simple question - I have a year.... model..... chevrolet, would you tell me which parts would I need to restore it since it shows 1pc 1981-1987 and 2pc 1986-1987. Answer from rep - I don't know, the catalog should tell you which one you would need. Well mine is right in between those numbers! 1986. They should have people with some knowledge in the sales dept.

It is being rebuilt. They are replacing old junk parts in the old door with new parts. Making the old door like new again. Its not titled "fixing old crappy parts" when you rebuild something you do it with new parts just like an engine
