LMFAO were once a trailblazing Uncle-Nephew duo who took the world by storm earlier this decade with hits such as "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy and I know it". However, it felt as though one day, they were gone without a trace, never to be heard from ever again. Where are they now? What happened to LMFAO? We wanted to explore why LMFAO ended, during which we discovered an absolute goldmine of information about Redfoo and Sky Blu's catastrophic falling out.
This is, What Happened To LMFAO? (Their Brutal Decline)
Thank you guys for watching, like and sub if you enjoyed, SunnyV2 XO ❤
The idea for this video was partially inspired by "honest" who posted a video on a similar topic in February 2019 titled "LMFAO: Where Are They Now?" You can watch his version here - • LMFAO: Where Are They ...

“Party rock anthem” was the most overplayed song ever and I’m not joking. Anyone who can take themselves back to 2011 knows how impossible it was to escape that song. The only other close contenders for most overplayed since then would be “I have a feeling” by black eyed peas or “shape of you” by Ed sheeran

real. I remember being in elementary school and hearing party rock anthem playing during our PE warmups first thing in the morning, and ngl, that sh!t got me pumped. (I’m 22 now). Their music gave me such a good feeling back then as a little kid, and I can’t even lie, I still love their music. I know they’re never coming back, but I still will listen to them every once in a while.. just to feel like a happy young kid again. They’re “washed up” to most people I’m sure, but to me, their music and act is unforgettable.

It’s a very sad ending for them I completely understand why Sky Blu was mad when his uncle left him behind to tour. He probably thought they were going to make it together as family. I get how he felt betrayed but I can also see Red Foo’s point of view. This wasn’t his first time trying to make music and while for his nephew it was all new and fun he probably thought this was his last shot. For the first time in his career he was getting mainstream attention and probably was afraid of their success going away if he didn’t act fast. And I don’t blame him for thinking that way. At least he had some years of success cause he did lose his momentum after the tour.

I definitly dont remember any other songs by them thats for sure. Were they catchey, i guess, but if there dad wasnt who he was, would they have gotten that chance at stardom to begin with, i doubt it. Idk if u understand how hard it is to get radio statios to break a record, and start playing it.... someshit like party rock yeah barry made damn sure the radios were playing that asap that wasnt bein blackballed, if he wasnt there, i dont think that song woulda even came out im just being dead honest. Who knows if they even came up with the hook any of that song themselves, the problem is there dad, he has more connections in the music industry on the level of michael jackson were talking, he could snap his fingers and have the best rap producers giving him free beats. The told lauren hill of the fugees to go solo, SHE DIDNT and stuck with those dudes and rapped yo, when she could of fucking exploded, u know whole killing me softly song u hear? yeah thats her, if its a female singen it thats her. She could of legit been huge but chose to be real. There shit was popular but, cmon now, it wasnt bein played on rotation in ever bar and club like people here are saying... cmon, it was more of like a wedding banger type of song, i mean thats what the song is now... someshit theyll throw on at a wedding or someshit to get people like dancing. Im not about to get up here and say this was some generation defining song caus it wasnt lol. It was a catchy bubblegum radio hit.

'Sorry for Party Rocking' has a special place in my heart, as it was the soundtrack to a memorable summer with my best friend and his older brother. We were having so much fun back then, and LMFAO's music was so fitting to the mood. Eleven long years have passed, my best friend is still there, but I'm no longer in touch with his brother. We all grew up and moved on. I guess LMFAO did too. But the music has that ability to capture memories and bring them back to life as soon as you hit play. Oof another nostalgia trip... It's like remembering a wild night out... but while "camping". Thanks for the insight, it looks like they fall apart before "we" even started listening to them LMFAO

Like others have said you couldn't escape their music back then. The pop sound at the time was either discount electro house - Daft Punk was through with it before they knew what to do with it - or discount dubstep, and LMFAO was definitely in the former category. It's strange that this was a decade ago already, and even if the music was vapid it was hard not to have fun with it and dance. Had no idea there was this much drama though. Also shuffling is still pretty fun to do.

It seems unlikely. But I would love a LMFAO reunion. Just one song to brighten up our 2022. We need to Party Rock Again

I’ve been wondering what had happened to these two for so many years and it’s insane how short their popularity was. It’s truly shocking how fast they disappeared.

1:22 is definitely not representative. Discogs is a user collection database and marketplace for keeping track of physical media. The 44 copies listed there as "have" are owned by people that signed up on discogs and added it to their personal collection. To put that into perspective: Only about 265k copies of Michael Jacksons "Thriller" are currently listed as "have" on the site.

was waiting to see someone point this out, like less than 2 minutes of understanding how discogs works you'd be able to tell that the "have" stat is for people who've just catalogued it in their collection

I spotted that too, so frustrating when proper fact-checking isn't done for a video that's gonna get over a million views.

I am actually surprised that critics gave them 1 star reviews. I remember when they came out and I actually really liked their music. It wasn't my favorite album by a large margin but it wasn't bad. Now if they were reviewing the music videos then I could understand. I didn't really like those, but I was 12 at the time and didn't really get some of those adult concepts yet.

I havent heard Sexy and I know it or Party Rock Anthem for God knows how many years, but if the beat is turned on right now, I can sing to it without forgetting a single word. That's how successful they were. Nothing but respect for the dudes!!!

I was 12 when they went on "hiatus" and I really hoped they would reunite. Lol. They originally intended to reunite after 2 years but then they just extended it, and it's crazy to think that it has been more than a decade now.

This is so sad…and I can’t believe it’s been 10 years! I remember learning the shuffle dance, buying merch, buying their album, my whole family loved them. And yes, when we got tickets to a concert and only Redfoo was there we didn’t know about this! We thought that Sky was just sick that night. This made me so nostalgic tho 😮‍💨
