What a fabulous update. I am so encouraged to know even the artists who got me into mixed media and junk journals felt in a slump. I was getting that way too and I also found slow stitching. Embroidery is so pretty but too perfect for my shaky hands to get right so slow stitching gives me the pretty I need in my life right now. I love all paper and fabric so going between the two has been a joy. I am glad to know things are going well for you there and you are taking it easy. I bet the scenery alone is a great source of inspiration. And yes I want to see the spirals!

What an exciting and challenging time for you! The universe has a funny way of forcing us to make the changes we need to, if we don’t make them ourselves. LOL. Slow stitching is a beautiful art form. Since you live in Costa Rica now, have you looked into any of the textile artwork of the indigenous women in Central America? The molas of Panama and Guatemala are brilliantly colorful and I can see you adding your own spin on their ancient designs. All you need is a needle, thread and fabric! Backstrap weaving is amazing. Women create the most dazzling textiles from a loom they make from small tree branches. Thanks for all the inspiration over the years! Can’t wait to see how your Art evolves!

I wish you and hubby all the luck in the world on your adventure in Costa Rica.. I could never make that move... And definitely not a part of the world i care to visit much less live. My daughter on the other hand would be right there with you.. lol .. Living in Costa Rica must truly be in your heart since you had to give up so much.... in my opinion.. As always glad to see you are doing very well and love to watch your videos. (Oh and this is Hilda not Julia, lol) - Anyway how ironic, I am heading down to a quilt festival today to check out some fabric - I am not a quilter but have always used slow stitching to patch up some of my jeans - I think it's great, like a wave of water you fluidly move to the next phase and teach us something. I tend to hang on, but am learning through your videos to let go if needed. I lived in India & maid a patch work quilt for my mum 6 months it took make for her birthday out of saris still have it & reminds me my life Tapestry’s & the Happe times . Living in NY I def am in a lot of humidity but I think I'm used to this air and I hide in the house! Lol I actually have recently met someone who also had a stroke due to migraines. But from what I have heard about Costa Rica, I def believe it is an amazing place and he has told me that it is paradise! Someday he plans to go back. Maybe one day there will be a chance for me to get there. I'm just so happy for you. I hope u truly have peace there. U absolutely deserve it. I am def going back to art asap, so keep those videos coming! Xo
