Could you show the factory fuel filter block install?

Love the pump but I did the CP3 change last year and the FASS 2 months ago but now I have a leak I can NOT find. I spent all last wknd tearing it apart. She runs like a Jessie in 36 but……

I just ran across this video, I have a 2016 GMC 6.6 Duramax. Do you have to lower the fuel tank or anything to attach the hoses? Any other tips to make this any easier? This is a very good video, thanks for doing it.
@CrownRacingCo2 жыл бұрын
No, I did not drop the fuel tank. Installing the lift pump, lines, and supporting electrical components is really easy. Follow the FASS install directions and it explains everything

Did you run into any problems with that style return and using the factory suction line? The instructions for the 15.5 to 16 lml say to modify the sender module cause the factory suction straw is too restrictive. Thanks

I have had no issues with my lift pump and the way it's been installed. I recommend doing this mod.

Have you run into any issues with running out of fuel at 1/4 tank after installing?
@CrownRacingCo Жыл бұрын
No I have not. However, I always fill my truck up once it gets to 1/4 tank to prevent this issue
@Blue_Collar_Hunter3 ай бұрын
If you install a sump pump on the bottom of your tank it furth helps curb the 1/4 tank blues.

didvubtune truck after install
@CrownRacingCo10 ай бұрын
You do not need to tune your truck after a lift pump install. The high pressure pump has valves that control fuel pressure being delivered to the injectors. The lift pump will not affect this.

NOT A STOP FOR CP4 FAILURES!!!
@rite2beararms10 ай бұрын
No, but it gives the CP4 it's best chance (along with additive every fill). The goal is and should always be swapping for CP3, but this usually buys some time.
@brody73929 ай бұрын
@@rite2beararmswhat kind of additives? Just injector cleaner?
@rite2beararms9 ай бұрын
@brody7392 No, you need to add lubricity to the fuel. I use Hot Shots LX4. North American fuel does not have the lubricating properties that European fuel does and the CP4 does not hold up as well without it. I add 3oz for every 10gal.
@CrownRacingCo7 ай бұрын
Adding a fuel supply with positive pressure is substantially better for the cp4. I also use hot shot EDT
@Webedunn7 ай бұрын
It helps, a lot! The best remedy for a CP4 failure is putting in a CP3.

How about using the cheapest crimps and crimper known to man for the installation. WD-40 on phenolic resin manufactured parts is also a terrible idea.
@CrownRacingCo11 ай бұрын
You're right, however we got the job done and haven't had any issues yet. Sometimes you don't have access to all the right tools to get the job done and you have to improvise!

@@CrownRacingCo Fair Enough...But you are a Racing Shop, and a lot of people rely on your expertise. I was a little floored watching the install.
