Spencer thinks Esme isn’t a threat, that’s debatable. But she for sure is a threat to Trina’s peace of mind and that should be Spencer’s top priority. Why are you putting your relationship through all these trials and tribulations? If he would just play the brotherly role and focus on his future there would be nothing to misconstrue. What happens when Ace starts talking? Is he going to start calling Spencer “dada”? It’s already gonna be hard enough for Ace to readjust when Nikolas comes back into the picture. There needs to be boundaries.

He already knows Trina's dreams, she tells him all the time, about education and working in the arts. Trina wants to know about their future together; he has not thought about it. He will now or he will stay with Esme and Trina will walk. She is giving him food for thought. Spencer asked her before Ace was born, if she would date someone with a child. Trina said she was not in that situation, but now she is. He threw that on her, and she threw it back at him. They both are smart, and they have to get the kinks out of things to make this relationship work.

I loved that Trina got real with Spencer in the form of hard truths. But also showed him that she sees a future with him and wants him to see a future for himself. Spencer has tunnel vision around Ace and it’s only getting worse. Time for him to make some hard decisions…. I was heated watching this live, but as I’ve stepped back, it just makes me realize how damaged Spencer is. And how he could end up causing the same type of damage he’s trying to prevent Ace from experiencing…Trina dropped some real food for thought. I hope he’s listening. Because her comments today were about THEM. Not just him

@nfgc86 Spencer, had some tough love thrown at him today with Trina. She just came out and asked him about his future and where he sees himself in 5 years and about them. She is asking about their future as a couple and his living situation with Esme & Ace. He better wake up because deep down, he knows it does not look good. Portia told him that and he also knows Trina gets tired of hearing about Esme. You can see it on her face, every time Esme's name is mentioned. Spencer & Trina have had a taste of love from each other, and things have changed. Trina is already thinking, and Spencer has a lot to think about now. I hope he and Trina can come up with a solution that benefits her, him, and Ace. He did ask her before Ace was born if she would consider dating someone who was trying to get custody of his sibling. Trina is now coming up with an answer and I think he was caught off guard.

He asked her about dating a man raising a baby, not a man living with and raising a child with his ex….Trina has been beyond understanding. Now she’s asking him to see the bigger picture and not be so naive about the situation… Her asking about his five year plan was my favorite part of the scenes. There’s so many layers to it; it’s simple, bold and vulnerable on her part. And he was not prepared. No career or personal ambitions. Even with Ace he can’t predict what will happen. But what Trina gave him should make him feel optimistic and I hope he took it that way. She let him know her future plans involve him. And that she wants him to be more thoughtful about his life…she told him why she was peppering in these questions. She sees their relationship progressing and wants to know what their future together looks like. Did I love Spencer’s responses? No. And when I watched live I was frustrated, but Spencer hasn’t needed to reflect at all. He’s been floating without anyone, even himself, having expectations for him. Which is sad, but it’s true. I keep my guard up bc the show hasnt earned my trust in the storytelling, but I do think we’re going to have a day of reckoning soon. And no matter what that looks like, I’m ready.

@@nfgc86 Spencer better get some glasses because Trina is seeing 20/20 and beyond five years. You are right about raising a child by himself but not with his ex. He wanted Trina for over 2 years and why look so shocked when she asked about his dreams and their future. I still think if the shoe was on the other foot, Spencer would not have patience with Trina, living with her ex-man and his child at all. I hope they can make things work out for the two of them and Ace.

And Trina wouldn’t even do something like that bc she’s a bit more thoughtful than Spencer tends to be. And that’s not taking a dig at Spencer , but she’s more careful with ppls feelings. I really hope the writers have an exit plan for Sprina from this baby story. Whether it’s here, twitter or instagram, I see ppl who are over this story and have been for a while. Writers need to learn how to write for their audiences. We don’t ask for much, so give us stories that make us care. I don’t care about this baby. I think Spencer’s attachment is understandable but way too overstated, even for a soap. I don’t like what they’re doing to Spencer to make it work. I’ve rewatched some scenes from last year and the quality difference in his writing is noticeable

Yes Ma'am, Miss Robinson! This conversation was definitely needed. Spencer really does need to start thinking about his future. Especially now that Trina has made it perfectly clear that she intends to be a part of it. In his defense, I just think Spencer is so deliriously happy coming off of their NYC trip that he can't see straight! He's still basking in the fact that Trina professed her love for him for the very first time, and then making love to "the love of his life." He literally admitted in NYC that everything that they were able to share there was "all he ever wanted." I seriously don't think he's thought much beyond that. I just really hope that Trina expressing her feelings about his living arrangement with Esme will help him to snap out of his denial about Esme's intentions toward him, and prompt him to move out!

He's still basking in the joys of their shared weekend and he probably thought this would be a nice simple visit leading up to a possible make out session. Trina, being the practical young lady that she is, although enjoying the memories of the trip knows that NOW comes the hard part and that is planning what their future looks like. Now this is how a couple should be written. In-depth thought provoking conversations. That convo wasn’t just about them as a couple, Trina was really trying to gauge what Spencer has planned for himself in the future. I get he loves his brother, but he can’t let that consume his life. And he’s going to be devastated when Nicholas comes back and demand his spot as Ace’s father. Because I think eventually Nicholas will see his self being a Father to Ace as a “do over”.

I look at the difference between his and Trina's disagreements vs Esme's disagreements. He raises his voice with Esme and Trina, he gets pissed in a softer way like her looks would tear him apart. He goes off quicker with Esme than Trina. Trina does get the best of him, and he backs off. I noticed that at her party, fighting over that letter and at the bank. Trina is bold with her man and does not sidestep the issue, she is blunt as he said before. The difference is he loves Trina and does not love Esme.

It was great Trina was given POV to express her feelings and concerns. These were hard truths that Spencer needs to be confronted with. I do believe what Trina said will resonate with him. What he really needs to do is seek out a mental health professional to work on his traumas. Cause his abandonment issues makes him too fixated on Ace which makes him vulnerable espec to people like Ezme. Tabyana and Nicholas were wonderful in these scenes.

I'm falling more and more in love with Trina character. This convo Spencer and she had made me recall how he had praised her in the gallery the first time they kissed. 'Good Lord, you're blunt'. Yes, she is. And a lot more than that. Truth is, she knows how to stand her ground, speak up and push the right buttons, address all the pending issues, be tough but caring. She did right talking about the money and Victor's special gift that Spencer did not destroy... The writers may have crushed this Cassadine character but they're doing a fantastic job at uplifting Trina. Today, they were able to portray a well grown woman, mature and realistic, ready to fight for her man and not a youngster anymore. What a change a NYC trip can do to someone. I should go there myself to gain some confidence. 🤭. Now I can't help pondering Curtis' words after Trina confessed to him that she loved Spencer 🤔??? Hope that is NOT a prediction.... Today's episode really shows how messed up Spencer really is. A woman knows when someone is interested in their man. Trina isn't standing around this time nor is she playing with Esme. Spencer is so obsessed with filling in Nikolas' role in Ace’s life that he's neglecting other interests. I can see this will become a problem for Trina in the future. She’s mature, sophisticated, and career-oriented. Her life is planned out!! Spencer is rich but hasn't talked about his dreams or aspirations. He talks about Ace/Esme 24/7. It's not healthy for their relationship

It’s good Trina is talking to him about the important stuff, his goals and future because with the way this storyline is going Spencer comes off as a spoiled man child who has no life outside Trina and Ace. I see so many people bashing Trina for this conversation but her words at the end of the conversation were spot on. Esme is Aces mother and Spencer has no rights to Ace and can’t bully Esme into sticking around forever.

Spencer saying he doesn’t want Ace to feel lonely shows how unrealistic he’s being. Trina is right. Him trying to fill some void, could backfire for him. What happens when he tells Ace no at some point and Ace throws it in his face that he’s not his father. Even worse that he kept him from his father. Sometimes keeping someone away from something makes them want it more. Life is hard and in spite of Nic’s flaws, those flaws made Spencer who he is. Yes he has a sadness, but he’s stronger than he thinks he is because he had to be. Trying to make Ace’s life “perfect” sets him up for unrealistic expectations. No matter how you try to avoid it, you will be hurt at some point in your life and Spencer can’t keep that from happening.

As much as he loves ACE, he is also using Ace to heal his OWN emotional trauma. This will allow Esme to continue to use both Spencer and Ace for the rest of her life. Ace is her meal ticket. The ploy of hers to live at Kelly's can bring Spencer closer to her by playing on his love for Ace and his abandonment issues.

He had a similar conversation with Alexis during Christmas and with Marshall but he still doesn’t want fulfilled him other than Trina,Ace,and his grandmother. @@CJ3581 I just finished watching it too. All I can say is DAMN !!! This is NOT looking good AT ALL !!! 😕 I'm just gonna cut out the middleman and say it.... SPENCER HAS MENTALLY CHECKED OUT !!! 😭 Ugh.... This is KILLING ME !!! I know he was just hit with these probable scenarios regarding Esme by first Trina & now, Kevin. But, the WAY he's processing this information is putting him in two POSSIBLE positions: 1.) He could go INSANE. When he was in NYC with Trina and he told her that "I am crazy, CRAZY in love with you", something about the WAY he said it didn't seem right. Although, he was being VERY romantic and affectionate when he said it; a Part of Me was like, if something happens to this girl.... he's gonna lose his MIND. OR 2.) "Dark" Spencer will come out to play.... Bringing out some of that trademark Cassadine "Evil" that up to this point, has pretty much eluded Spencer. Granted, I don't feel that it would consume him permanently.... Spencer can be a jerk, But at his "core" is NOT evil. Although, under certain circumstances, that too could change. But, because of certain people in his life - TRINA.... I feel that wouldn't be a permanent situation, because she's the ONLY person that could probably get him back to his "Perfectly-Imperfect" Self. 😉

I can see his dad coming back and him and Esme icing Spencer out and him having a breakdown or something. I really wish Kevin or Laura or Trina would mention therapy lol. I know he would decline but let’s just start planting the seed. I was thinking that maybe Cyrus would try to help him but I don’t think Cyrus would care that much about Spencer or Ace and plus Cyrus held Trina and her mom captive so I think that’s a no go for Spencer. But yeah things aren’t looking too good for our boy smh. I’m not sure what Cassadine industries does but maybe he can help out with that??? Idk. I also wonder if Nicholas knows that Esme was sent to manipulate Spencer and that added to Spencer’s anger. I mean Nicholas is a crappy father but he may do better with Ace…. Idk. He seemed VERY concerned with Spencer's reaction regarding Esme & Ace; and judging from Kevin's reaction to Spencer.... He's thinking he might have to give him some THERAPY - and if he ends up doing just that- then, HALLELUJAH & THANK YOU !!! Cause honestly it's long overdue. 😕😒 I've also noticed that Kevin leans MORE towards Spencer than he does with his ACTUAL NIECE... Esme; possibly because he knows that Esme has got too much of his Brother's behavior in her DNA and doesn't REALLY trust her as far as he can throw her... Amnesia or NOT.

I can't say how much I loved these scenes today! I loved that Trina is being honest about her feelings and Spencer's relationships and she's not shying away from saying hard truths. I love how she seems to be much more confident in herself and in Spencer and their relationship. Their conversation just flows so naturally. I hope we get to see a lot more conversations like this. I also loved how Trina is already ready to talk about the future with Spencer. I am a bit concerned that, and this is just my take, Trina is looking for a family with Spencer and Spencer is still talking about having fun and nothing serious, maybe I read the room wrong, but that's how I took it. Other than that one hiccup today was another amazing Sprina day.

I think when Trina was asking Spencer about the future I think she was gauging about where he was headed career-wise. Spencer can’t see his life past being a father-figure to Ace. That’s what Trina was trying to get him to see. Just because he’s rich doesn’t mean he can sit up under Esme and Ace all day. Trina is a junior in college and working a part time job. She’s going to have a promising career in the art world soon. She wants Spencer to have higher aspirations than being a pseudo baby daddy.

I think Spencer was just being glib with his responses because Trina caught him out of left field with all the questions. I don't think Spencer ever thought that far ahead and he reverted to childish antics because he didn't have any immediate answers and felt unprepared for a serious conversation like this.

I think Spencer was in shock because Trina has never actually voiced how she feels about Esme & Ace. They are a couple, and this conversation was needed. Spencer also needs to tell Trina about Portia one day. Some are saying Trina is bossy, she is asking valid questions and he told her before Ace was born, that if he got custody, would she date him. Trina is in this situation, and she needs to know where she stands with Spencer. If the shoe was on the other foot, he would not like Trina shacking up with her ex and helping him take care of a baby.

Spencer acted like he would have a stroke when Trina went away for the weekend with Rory. Trina patiently allowed him to live alone with his ex-girlfriend for months to care for Esme's baby. He acts like he wants to continue living with Esme for years. Thank God, Trina finally stood up for herself!! They have really dumbed Laura and Spencer down to sell the" new improved Esme." The fans will Never be That Dumb!

I loved these scenes today. Spencer and Trina both came from a place of love. Trina spoke some hard truths to Spencer about Ace…. Something that no one else has been able to do or willing to do for whatever reason. I think this convo and the argument that he’ll have with Esme in the next show will really get him thinking about his future. Right now Trina and Ace are his whole world. He doesn’t even know what he wants to do career wise. He needs to explore that. I also wish Trina would have gently suggested therapy for Spencer bc clearly he is using Ace to testify his own abandonment issues. Kevin is around for the argument between Spencer and Esme …. Trina spoke her truth today with such maturity while Spencer showed so much immaturity. When she asked him about his 5 year plan he was shook because he has no plans. I think that Spencer is sooo hurt that Nicholas has not even seen Ace. Which means he has abandoned the both of them. When Trina asked him where he sees himself in 5 years? I don't think anyone has ever asked him that before. He never actually had to think that far before ; Spencer lives moment by moment. The only thing that Spencer has that's his is Trina and I think the real reason he doesn't want Nicholas to come back is because if Nicholas returns and gets close with Ace then he might feel his connection with Ace will disappear. Spencer is afraid that Nicholas will prove him right that the moment he gets his hands on Ace he will ship him off to boarding school. As Spencer said it was lonely and isolating for him having that happen to him. Noone has ever taught him responsibility or even taken responsibility for his actions, but I think he knows what he wants in his future. Trina has never asked Spencer to choose between Ace, her problem is his mom (Esme). She took care of that baby when they were on the Haunted Starr like he was her child. Esme never thanked her, and that baby adored her. Trina is getting answers from Spencer, and he needs to understand her concerns and she also needs to know how Portia treated him. Trina was letting Spencer know that his dad is Ace's father and not him. He can still have an active role in his baby brother's life, but he needs to think about his life with Trina.

Spencer never really had to think about I was never asked to think about a real future. He was always battling with rejection and disappointment within his family and to have someone that loves him and wants to share a future with him and who’s asking him point-blank where does he see himself in his future? What’s what he needed Spencer is not a bad guy. He’s just so full of her in pain and he hasn’t had a real role model, his family structure to know what a real relationship looks like when it comes to his daddy. NOTICE (how long it took) for Spencer to even adjust to NOT having Cam around ???!!! Spencer has "Abandonment Issues" and is AFRAID of being alone. When you see Spencer, he's usually WITH SOMEONE... I know, that was so sad, just the way he said that. Kind of desperate. He has no further dreams or aspirations beyond what’s right in front of him. Think bigger Spencer! Spencer & Trina have gone to NYC, dated and romanced each other, now go bowling, go to the park, and do fun things and meet new people in their social life.

I do see what everyone is saying BUT Trina knew what she was getting into when she decided to be with Spencer. Spencer talk to Trina how he would be in Ace's life and sgoild see how active Spencer is in Ace's life. She shoud and HEARD what he was saying and also OPEN her eyes and see what has been going on. I have a feeling Trina is going to loose Spencer if she make him choose.

He told her he was trying to get custody. That’s not the same as what actually happened. He didn’t say “we’re gonna live together and play house”. She’s been supportive the whole time. She’s just wants him to think beyond that moment. She’s never asked him to choose. Think about how many times he’s been late or left their interactions early. She never asks him to stay. Even when they got back from nyc she encouraged him to go see ace. So I don’t the show acting like that’s the case bc it’s not.

Oh no, I don’t think he does. He’s never really shown concern for her outside of Ace. He treats her almost like a new person, while still remembering who she was “before “. Esme is only still around Spencer because of Ace. He wouldn’t have anything to do with her otherwise; I do believe that.

He doesn't have a future with Esme or Trina. Cassadine men ruin their relationships with women because they are too dark, calculating, and controlling. He's more likely to put Esme in a cellar and have the world thinking she's deceased. Spencer has all of the markers to activating his psychotic gene, which will be activated when Trina leaves him. Because unfortunately, that is inevitable.
