The only way for Portia to expect him is if he lost his memory 🤭 but her response is justifiable he probably brought all that trauma back she needs to apply this to Esme amnesia or not😊

Whoa, wait up Dr. Robinson, it's insane that the man who held you and your daughter hostage is now a free man but it's not a insane or a travesty that the young woman who drugged and framed your daughter for a crime she didn't commit is also free and not only is she free but Portia always treats her with kindness and compassion, it's all about manipulation so she can what she wants but still.

@@marshagreen9759 I am in agreement with you and Jacklyn Lawson, Portia is so phoney, she can be kind to the "Demon Child" that put her daughter through hell but she wants Cyrus back in jail, I know it may be wrong of me but I was so glad he made it clear that with Curtis's injury, she doesn't have a safety net now, but if Curtis feels his family is at risk, it may be more of an incentive to really push himself to try to get out of the chair

Cyrus has a lot of nerve and the ringing up Curtis would be able to save Portia like he did that day? She needs to get that restraining order ASAP. I hope Cyrus will be the motivation Curtis needs to get out of the wheelchair, bc we all know he’s going to walk eventually.

So the comments section is everyone(including me) saying the same thing. These scenes don’t hit the way they should bc they made her a shoulder to cry on for the girl who tried to destroy Trina’s life. It’s that simple. The writers f’d up. But this is what happens when you don’t think about the bigger picture and aren’t focused on telling cohesive stories. They already have Laura, Carly, Liz, Alexis, Gregory and anyone with Cassadine dna propping esme. They don’t need Portia too. Let her walk back her support. Maybe have Cyrus’s return act as the catalyst for her telling esme off. But gh gotta do something.

To be fair, temp writers wrote this stuff- they wouldn’t see the bigger picture because they aren’t a part of the bigger picture. Now that the strike has ended, the writing should improve. To be fair though, the writing hasn’t been good for years now. Too many re-writes of history and forgotten storylines. For example, we’ll before Emily, Nikolas was engaged to Gia, Taggart’s sister. Since Trina’s character has been introduced, there’s been no mention of her aunt, the supermodel, who used to live in PC.

@@Kadasberry11 Portia sympathizing with Esme started under the regular writers. So I can’t completely blame the ficore writers. I’ve actually enjoyed their work and the pacing in particular has been so much better. I’ve also enjoyed the improved pov and agency for Trina. But they could’ve course corrected with Portia and didn’t. I have zero faith in Chris and Dan. They’re why we got a summer of watching a widow who lost her child being exploited by her mother in law. That’s what the regular regime thinks is entertaining. They’ve mentioned Gia here and there, but it’s been very surface. I almost feel like they don’t want the audience to dive too deep into that story bc it works against the narrative they set up for Nikolas around Ava. They painted her as a special love in his life. When in reality, Nikolas had Gia and Emily, which were stronger relationships than what he has with Ava.

Portia's reaction to Cyrus was justified, but Esme gets a pass because she has amnesia.. Despite this appreciate how writers have pulled Portia away from Spencer and Trina. There has been less meddling as Portia is focusing on her marriage as well.

Cyrus buddy, my advice : lose your memory first or pretend you did, then come back another day (might help to bring a toddler in you arms and definitely Not in a stroller). She would be more willing to welcome you. Love those writers. What a thoughtful writing...
