Very good to see 45212 in Sheffield, Derby and racing through Dronfield. Steam is not so often in, or filmed in these locations, so thanks for doing so!

Not pushed up bank as alleged by Mr Newton. Diesel provides shunting air conditioning and electrics to coaches. Bloke, who told me, knows what he is talking about. Diesel is towed. Drawbar power of a 5 can cope.

@@crunchynutsteamfilms5043 Thanks, Dan. I used to live in Dronfield and so wondered why the 47 had to be assisting there. Unfortunately I didn't count the load to see if the Mickey, as we used to call Black 5s could cope. I had a good/bad experience of Hemerdon and Dainton banks a year or two ago with Flying Scotsman and a Black 5 on the front and a 47 on the back. We went up Hemerdon as if it was't there and there is no way that the two steamers could have managed that. I have seen even Duchess of Hamilton stall on that Bank although of course the combined TE of Scotsman and the Black 5 would be at least 15000 lbs above the Duchess.
