I use Simpler, the sample based editor and use my voice to chop and mix sounds as a unique editor to make organic sounds emerge. :) That or my favorite wave is either the Saw or Square in any VST or DAW. Sins come 2nd or 3rd, great fundamental to mix into other waves.

I just searched to learn more about the advanced functions in operator and wanted to see you go through them but cant find any videos about it from you. Just wanted to comment about it before i go to another youtuber for that video for now, and only wanted to say that youre my first choice when i want to learn things about ableton. :)

@LNA: After 14:58 you apparently give a wrong explanation of using the Time control in the matrix editor. The Time row only shows up because you just focused on the respective input field. Now the way you explain it next gives the impression one could set the amount of time passing (ie. speed) for each matrix target separately. But Time is always global and affects the speed of every modulation source in the matrix. What you actually set up in the demonstration is the amount of Env 3 controlling Time, not the amount of Time affecting Env 3. When, like in this example, modulating Time with a modulation source which in itself is time based (like Envs or LFOs), one always has to keep in mind that such a routing creates a feedback loop. If you're not aware of that, the results can seem quite confusing.

First of all, You are doing great job by creating these tutorials, veeery useful and You are making them in a very friendly usage language, You know, no super difficult high-end language :))) And You share Your knowledge in a very fun way, sometimes I catch myself just watching You, not learning :))) Nevertheless, could You share some advice how to make nice build-ups, fills and transitions? Maybe You did this already, so drop the link :) Thanks.

Great tutorial! THX:)) I'm trying my best to learn sinthesis and wavetable is very visual and intuitive. If i'm playing this instrument with push2, and have all the parameters available and displayed, how could I use the MIDI mapping correctly in y+the Matrix section?

Okay, after watching the video, so wavetable is nothing but a built in synthesizer for Ableton? So if I own a Roland Fantom 8, Serum, Massive X do I really need to bother with this?
@LNADoesAudioStuff4 жыл бұрын
ye sit is similar to example Serum, but it's unique on how it uses the wavetable synthesis. :)

Great video. Love your enthusiasm and self humor. I like that you try pronouncing different words and find it funny how you tackle sentences. It's charming and fun. I like too your pink wave transitions to fit the themes of the video! Overall you have a really cool style going for yourself. I would suggest you taking a look at kzbin.info/www/bejne/iGOodqmLmZagmbs You Suck at Producing #50: Making Instruments More Expressive He edits his videos in a short, expressive format. He also likes to tell narrations, or stories with his instruments by characterizing them! I think it'd be cool to see you try characterizing different expressions of music or sound for yourself. Make buddies out of Steve the Square, or Sean the Saw, or Serina the Sine wave. We won't talk about Tristan the triangle. I hope this comment helps. You have a lot of great things going on in your videos. To see you grow a little will help you a lot! :)
