Few years back few media persons were arrested since they shared posts to say North Province had a remembrance and raised flags of a banned organisation. I noted some people wanted to know the actions taken against the person's who did that " Maha wiru smaruwa." May be yesterday I watched a video where Executive President of GOSL Mr Anura Kumara Dissanayake very clearly explained is position regarding that matter. He explained statistics of last years and explained since 2011 there is no legal ban to have LTTE remembrance and there were such remembrance with raising flags in recent years. This year only the remembrance is recorded as less in number. He clearly said there is no legal requirement for arresting regarding LTTE remembrance or raisng flags according to Law and procedure followed so far.
