Thanks for making the vid - I've never tried the Shooters World in 35 Rem but I have tried Varget. I havent dont extensive testing with Varget but the few pounds I did try, I found the heavier the bullet the better it was. Well these days get whatever powder you can get, but Varget is on the slow side for 35 Rem, and most of the loads seem to be full capacity or compressed with any bullet weight. Then again, though Shooters World is comparing to Varget it might be a bit different, so I look forward to your tests. If you can get the Saeco #352 mold (apx 245gr) you will definitely like it in the 35. Same for the Saeco #351 - a PB 200gr thats really great for PC. They come up on ebay often, you might get one cheap. Another good slower burn powder for 35 besides Varget is Leverevolution and IMR4064, but my experience has been better results with bullets between 220-250gr. For 200gr I really like the IMR3031 and Reloder7...but you know these days get whatever powder you can get your hands on!

I didn't quite make it to the book max charge, because I'm using cast, so we weren't getting compressed just yet. Another half grain or so and we would be there. I believe the SW is just a touch faster burning than Varget as well. I'll definitely grab a pound of LVR and 4064 when I can find any, those have been on my list for a while. Those Saeco molds sound pretty neat, I always like using heavier for caliber bullets for whatever reason. Also, YT hates you and I have to approve every one of your comments (probably because you use full sentences and actually write a full thought out message) lol

@@DummyRound Yes its true haha. This is my 4th youtube channel as 'LeverAction Gypsy' as they strike and delete me for posting 'medical misinformation' about the china flu and for posting 'deceptive information' about the election being rigged. I lost alot of vids I cant replace and left lots of good comments as the first channel was 9 yrs worth of vids and comments. I started posting all of that stuff on RoxyTube though and actually like it better than youtube for the pro 2A, pro free speech and non censorship but its still a pretty small platform. It would be great if a mass exodus of reloaders went there as then people wouldnt have to water down reloading videos to meet youtube's communist policies

I can't fault S.W. for comparison to Varget. In my initial side by side development for .308, I couldn't see any noticeable difference between the 2 powders. Since Varget can sometimes be in short supply, I may be searching for more S.W. Precision in the future.

They do seem very similar, and it looked like a hole in the market that people wanted filled. My very unscientific testing has shown promise, though I've never used Varget, either.

Too lazy to weigh every charge with a trickler at 3am, and it gets pretty damn close. I'm not shooting at 1000yards or anything, so for my purposes, it works most of the time. Other extruded powders might be less or more consistent.

Big Dummy,, I, someday would like to try some of the shooter's world powders, however, I have a large stock of IMR, Alliant, Vihtavuori, and Hogdons powders on hand. I appreciate this as an evaluation of new powders that are generic in nature. -Dave

It was cheap, and available, so I grabbed a few. Powders seem to be my biggest shortage, so I'll take what I can get - if I had a nice stash of other name brands then I probably wouldn't have even considered these. They've shown promise from other research I've seen so far, so hopefully we find some winners. Thanks for watching!👍🇺🇸👊

@@DummyRound I like what you are doing with the cast bullet avenue. as you found out, I'm a cast bullet junky and a 35 Remington or a 35 Whelen would be fun to craft up some bullets for. -Dave

Thanks! It's a fun round for sure, and I think we found a couple good charges to work with. Range report coming as soon as I have some free time!
