2:03. that was LITERALLY me, not more than 20 minutes ago. got my mashed together film out, and was like "I have to go on KZbin to see what the f*ck I did wrong." lol. damn, really wish I had watched this before wasting 11 out of my 24 shots. great explanation, man. thank you and I will live to fight another day.

can't believe you can do this in total darkness. impressive, mate.

I tried this yesterday and it works. After developing the tape gets a bit weird, but you are able to develop twice the rolls with the same amount of chemistry!
@Co0kieMadera1876 жыл бұрын
that looked so easy, i'm going to try it the next time. I hope it works! Watching it on KZbin is something else than having your film in the change bag

Brilliant! Thanks a bunch, well made video straight to the point 👍 plus that funky way of loading the film by simply pushing it into the reel... Never thought of that 😅 cheers mate!

Fancy meeting you here. I've just been doing a little research on Paterson reels...thanks for the breakdown.
@CertainExposures3 күн бұрын
I finally tried this and it went well, thanks.

In all my years I've never even considered trying to load a roll of 120 with the paper attached. Which is funny since I've recently taken to retaping the film back onto to a piece of PVC pipe after removing the paper so there was still some weight at the end of the roll. Maybe I should try it this way.

OMG, 5 years i've been deveoping 120 films one by one or two tanks at once... My whole life is lie. This method will save me so much time!!! Thank you! Why I dind't think about it. Do you know if it'll work with Kaiser reel?
@heresmyurl4 жыл бұрын
I don't think it'll work on metal reels unless theyre 220 metal reels

Taping or sticking the second roll to the end of the first one in the dark is not a good idea. Moving the first roll all the way down and then putting the second roll on the reel is easier I find.

I’ve seen a couple videos that tell you to peel the tape off since it ruins the chemicals. Is that a myth? Or are you just throwing it out after use?
@heresmyurl2 жыл бұрын
Never bothered me any. Never had an issue

@@heresmyurl oh ok I’ll give it a try then. Thanks!

Do you find you have to adjust development times to compensate for the increased amount of film? I did this for the first time and my film looks like it needed longer in the fixed
@heresmyurl3 жыл бұрын
Nope. I've never had to compensate until after 10 rolls.
@MilliePat4 жыл бұрын
I want to do this, and I hope it works, cause I don't want to lose these images.
@gstefanos27925 жыл бұрын
So does this mean I can develop 2 rolls using the same amount of chemicals I use for just one roll? Just wondering.
@heresmyurl5 жыл бұрын
Yes, it sure does
@user-ti9zc1xv2b4 жыл бұрын
Yes, 98% of the time, don’t do this with highly diluted developer combinations, which usually are HC110 and Rodinal
@huyvu93062 жыл бұрын
@@user-ti9zc1xv2b Hey! Not sure if you'll see this to reply but I'm thinking of doing the same with HC-110 using Dillution H (1:63), what about this makes it not recommended?

I tried this one, but it overlapped, so I have 2 roll of film ruined:-(
