Well, Happy New Year to you guys in Sumter. How many feet of cable are on that drum, anyways ? Mr.Wilbert sure had a lot of it played out there at one point. In the town where I presently live, a major freeway passes through. Once you leave going Westbound, the freeway sweeps a bit to the North for a mile, then straightens right back out to the West again. At least once a week, somebody misses that return curve, and gets dumped down in the ditch by the local radio station. Ain't no getting yourself out of that ditch, unless you walk out on 2 legs. So, a bit of a honey hole for our local towing companies. When a big truck goes in, usually an entire crew goes out, sometimes the load must be hand-bombed off. Usually the big trucks sail right up the other ditch into the trees, so won't be driving away from that scene. I figure they should just fill it in, pave it, and make it a rest area, lol.
