Congrats on that half silver Kennedy 👍👍 rarest coin to dig definitely!!! I’ve only found one in the 3 years of Metal Detecting,one I found isn’t silver but still pretty rare to find Kennedy halfs.

Those IHPs cleaned up nice and the war nickels looks great. Half the time the ones I find are black and need cleaning. I wonder what the mystery item is?! Maybe is held a picture.

Yeah , them war nickels develop what looks like tar sometimes. I’m down here in South Texas and most of them come out black. I let them soak in Limeaway for a few minutes and when you rub it, it wipes off like buttuh. Lol Try it next time. = ) _/

How you doing Luis? Good advice! I never heard of that before. I’ve heard of people using CLR which is a strong acid on military buttons briefly to bring out the remaining gold gilt. I may try it to make the nickel cleaning go faster next time. That tar is hard to get off. Someone recommended gasoline to me one time but I’m not going to mess around with that.
