I will say if you like talking into a camera you should do videos on crazy customers. Also If you like to do short form videos make funny car hauling videos on TikTok

4 car head rack is nuts to me lol. I’m just starting out hauling cars and they put me in a bubble top sleeper, after training in a chop top. Big curve for me.
@CarcarrierTv
@CarcarrierTv 2 жыл бұрын
Who are you hauling for? And the biggest difference you’ll notice with the bubble top is if you have to be down to 13’6 depending on what part of the country you haul plan on one suv size smaller then what you could put up there on a chip top. Like instead of a expedition on top you can now only go to an explorer sort of thing. Now that’s not a perfect science but it at least gets you in the right direction
@CarcarrierTv
@CarcarrierTv 2 жыл бұрын
Oh ok I see those guys all the time. I don’t know much about how they run but I do see them all the time. The nice thing with Vance for the most part you should have a few standard size suvs out of there on every load unless your only gonna grab 5 because of the weight lol. As for child’s st the bubble shouldn’t affect you too much because your grabbing out of that yard on the hill right? Which is mostly like c-e class cars and those really small suvs right? I’ve only hauled out of there twice if it’s the yard I’m thinking of and I did 10 unit loads with just c-e cars

How do you see overhead signs and street lights with with car so low in front of you? I've been considering applying at united they got a terminal right next to me in Newark, NJ but I've never hauled cars before. Just did dry van and containers.
@CarcarrierTv
@CarcarrierTv 2 жыл бұрын
If you do apply please use my name as your referral it’s Matt wihlen. Also as for seeing you’ll get used to it and learn to look way ahead to see the signs as for street lights normally you watch the reflection in your hood or look way under the car by leaning over.

This rail yard was extremely easy to pull my cars they were in 3 different rows all my cars were in rows z,y which were on the other side of the train cars and row b which was right next to my truck. And loading is easy because they are small cars it might have taken an hour and 15 min I wasn’t in there long

@@CarcarrierTv The Nissan plant in the UK was a regular for me. It's where they make the Qashqai I( think you guys call a Rogue Sport) and they also make the Juke. We used to load 5 of each for a 10 car load, an hour without rushing, 45 minutes on a Friday :) I had to laugh when you said 13 foot 6, we were 13 foot 9 empty and nudging 16 foot loaded. I used to run out of Honda in the days of underbody strapping and never had to move straps to switch from CRV to Civic. Nine CRV loads took 25 minutes, 11 Civics about 35 minutes. I did a spell with a 10 car truck running Peugeot/Citroen contract where the cars were pulled and prechecked for a short trip to a railhead. I could do the round trip including load and unload in just under an hour, 12 or 13 loads a day (120-130 cars) with a bonus for each one carried. Best money I ever earned and the easiest job of the lot. Quite a few pics on flickr but never really did videos beyond one uploaded here on youtube. I think I cracked my head on a deck that day so thought it was a good idea to film the rear view mirror after leaving a fuel stop!.
