Have to buy a cabinet (or if you have purchased one in the past) and just ask for them and they will email the configs to you. Just bought a cabinet and requested the files and they sent them to me straight away.

@@zero2583 is there a chance you can share them? i bought my cabinet panels from a guy at work and bought the buttons etc online but with the Arcade punks image i can't remap the buttons... That would be really helpful. Please let me know

im in attract mode "artflix" and i noticed it once i couldn't exit/ change games then i tried to remap the keys and noticed i couldn't get to that menu because i have to use coin to get to it

What Pi images do you recommend off of arcade punks, and do they come with the ROMs? I'm new to all of this and are modding an Arcade1UP machine. Also, do you have to Map controls for each and every game?

@Ryan - I will be sending you an email soon as I am currently prepping my game room and going with your 2 player full size cabinet. Been studying up on everything and already have 3 separate front ends completed to use on my Pi 3B+. Came out pretty sick. I'll send further questions and details for the build but question I have now pertains to this video at the 6:00 mark when you program the buttons in EmulationStation. What is the point of the last 7th lower button at the 8 o'clock position that doesn't appear to be ever used in your button layouts? How is that one programmed and what is it for? Your arcade button layout is unique in that I don't see any other cab with that configuration. Not seeing how you wire it up on the controller either. I'll be going with an Ipac-2 as well for controller which is preset already for Mame roms. Getting trackball and spinner on my cab too. The Ipac has connections for both of that hardware too. Your trackball connect via USB direct to the Pi?

The images will have the emulators. Depending on the image if it already has the roms.

Probably means you need config files for that game to recognize your controllers

Is there any possibility I can ask you a question with regards to these images from arcade punks I have now downloaded around 20 different images and not one of them works from arcade punks, I have downloaded retropi and that works absolutely perfectly but as soon as I tried to place any other image on any SD card they do absolutely nothing the monitor doesn't even bolt up it just goes straight to sleep but if I put the base image of retro pi on an SD card it fires up straightaway I can configure everything all I need to do is add games but so far after at least a month of downloading different images not one single image works am I doing something wrong

You probably have the wrong image for whatever rpi you have

@@Gameroomsolutions thank you very much for the answer I'm extremely impressed with the speed of your reply but unfortunately I have to disagree I have tried multiple images for my Rasberry Pi 3B I have even tried to download retro party images that are loaded that do not work but if I just the base retropie image on the SD card it works perfectly I would just need to add all the ROMs but thank you very much for your response

Anyone know why my pi wouldnt detect any gamepads. I just finished building a GRS Control Panel with Sanwa joysticks. I tested all the buttons (signals) on my pc and everything was good. For some reason my pi wont detect any controls at all.

That means your missing the config files for the Sanwa joysticks. I had to download GPIO pins to get my joysticks to work

Do I need a coin & player start buttons? I only have 16 buttons total. Also how do you deal with some mame roms not having sound but sound works in retropie menu

I always have coin/start, they also are used as select/start in console games. The sound is either the rom itself or the compatibility of the emulator used. Press a button right before the game boots and try another emulator.

So after copying the 3 GRS config files my img won’t even boot up to the main screen. It just leaves me at a dos prompt. I am reloading my pi image and I’m not going to install your confit files. It seemed to be working fine before that. I downloaded the new DZ Omega 128gb Pi image so maybe it doesn’t need those extra files.

The image you chose probably does not have attractmode. When you get to cmd prompt type emulationstation and press enter. That will boot you into the image and should default to boot. Once in configure the controls how you want when prompted. Our configs are for retroarch so they will configure the emulators properly.

@@Gameroomsolutions Ok I will try that. Currently, most of the games seem to be working fine without the config files. When I go to Daphne, the games are listed but each one just plays a video about the game, like a trailer. Will your files make the games playable? Also, for Dreamcast, it wants to launch an emulator called Reicast. Am I able to play Dreamcast games with the sticks or do I have to connect a usb controller? Also, it seems that I have to load the roms for Dreamcast. Do you have any info about that?
