Its never a waste of time to clean the tracks no matter how big or small of a company you are , one loose rock can kill someone . Chaining to the frame of a machine is always better but the tracks are ok also

Two points to live by. One, if there is more than half the tracks or wheels are hanging over the sides outriggers are mandatory. Two, if your hauling a dozer with a blade 12 feet wide or more. The blade must be loaded to the rear of trailer. Couldn't see it well enough in video. But one of the dozers they drove on forward looked like it had a 12 foot blade.

With the baffles in the muffler on most exhaust systems as well as non direct travel for air around curves and bends in the exhaust pipe. It's extremely unlikely that you'd ever Spin a turbo on a new machine. I've never had it happen in 12 years.

@nchayfarmer
@nchayfarmer 11 жыл бұрын
You do not chain to the tracks on any piece of equipment they can and will move and they bend very easy (learned the hardway bent the hell out of a track on a d7 wide track) theres always better and actually faster ways than a binder from the track to the side of the trailer.

Routing on permits is not the responsibility of the drivers ,,, even owner operators. You call permit company and let them know what you're hauling and it's weight and dimensions and where you are going to and from and they figure out all the particulars.

@@nerdyclown6393 It went very well for me although my company trained me for one day Haha. I had to learn a lot on my own, especially loading the equipment on myself never having seeing the machine before in my life, but was successful. If I had to give any advice it would be to make sure you take your time and really think about what your doing before you do it!
@bleedeye101
@bleedeye101 12 жыл бұрын
Is hooking chains to the track the usual thing to do? I've never been involved in loading heavy equipment, but it seems like it would be better to hook to eyelets on the body of the machine. Maybe hooking to the track is in addition to eyelets.

Making a good point about center of gravity with these machines but to control that you cut the angle on the ramp coming up using wood blocks and old mud flaps or conveyor rubber..that way the tracks are never up in the air and come down hard which can spit a track roller? maybe im fron another planet but thats how i did it and never lost one

the people who produce those safety instructions do only think theoreticly and have no clue how hard it is to lead a own small company. you can`t wait for better weather or clean up the tracks in front of loading or anything else.if you do so at each site, you can close your company after a few month when cash has ended.
@MrDriftspirit
@MrDriftspirit 11 жыл бұрын
ingermany its forbidden to save tracked vehicles at the tracks with chains or anything else. they`re not created for load saving. you have to lock the chains anywhere at the frame or the shield or the cabin if the producer says in his instruction book that its ok.and what should you do at loading when you have a semitrailer with a height of 80cm and a construction site where the fllor isn`t plain and the tracks are muddy or snowy.
