Agreed. It's 3 card you have to draft (although if I had to guess there's at least a few other sac outlets and at least finks as far as other persisters go so there's likely redundancy), but only 2 you have to draw. And yeah, you're probably not losing if you assemble preparation+ finks or redcap, which is only 1 card to draw and 2 to draft.

Oh yeah, I had forgotten all about Alex's love for original printings. I mean, the Fifth Dawn one is fine, but have you seen the art for the Return to Ravnica version? It's one of the best pieces of art in the game.

It isn't in RTR? It has been in 5th Dawn, a couple Duel Decks, and Iconic Masters. Thinking of another card maybe? Syncopate is from RTR and is similar (counter unless opponent pays X, if countered then exile it, but it doesn't scry like Condescend)

regular commander rules don’t allow any cards of the Conspiracy, Scheme, Plane, Phenomenon and Vanguard card types. Most of those have a game variant where they can be played (Archenemy, Planechase, Vanguard…), but conspiracies are often draft-specific. There are probably some house rule variants that allow conspiracies.
