I like that Cameron asks for a lot of rolls, but basically gives most information regardless of the outcome. Related, I really like that it's based more on entertainment value for all rather than being overly restrictive. Thanks!!!

Cam's style is different but every bit as good as Dale's. My only complaint is that he's often VERY quiet, and I have to rewind to hear what's going on. :)

As somebody who hasn't actually seen D&D before, I'm enjoying this as much as the first session. The format of this Episode was fun. My only comments is that I'd like to hear more from Cori and Ian and for Cameron to sound clearer. Had to double take a few times.

I'm not sure how to feel about this campaign. I like the idea of murder mystery and I also enjoy no combat but what I have in front of me is something I'm not sure I would call enjoyable. I hope the problem lies in the fact that they're running a precise mystery while constrained to 3 sessions. The biggest problem in my mind is that there's too much Cam and info dumping. Most of the session was Cam talking with Ben. Then Cam talking to Kathleen. There's none of the group dynamics going on that we saw during the first campaign where Beej would share knowledge of necromancy and the undead with the group and they'd react. Or really no group participation at all. We almost have some of that a few times when they meet behind the guardhouse or went to the pub but then Cam (I assume again due to time constraints) conveniently brings in an npc from nowhere and more info dumping with Kathleen taking the lead. There are no real decisions being made about what to do or where to go because regardless of what they choose Cam will just handwave them there (trying to find the mayor o look he's at the guardhouse) or Cam will have npcs appear from nowhere and start conversations. Cori and Ian are so far to the sides that honestly I can't tell you a single thing about their characters. In fact the only character I know well at all is Ben's thanks to his bard voice and the fact he has an instrument. I know they agreed to 10 sessions for Dale because I'm sure Dale is busy and they needed to plan that out beforehand but maybe for campaigns where it's the main cast they don't get arbitrarily limited to X sessions to allow for actual roleplaying and decisions/exploration instead of what I see here which is mostly DM tells them what happens and gives them everything on a silver platter. Heck when Cori says "she has no clue what's going on or why what they're doing is even important anymore" I feel that's her saying it out of character as well as in. And that's no fun for anyone.

Hi, all, Sorry I've been out of touch. I'm so far behind with Dice Friends that I can't listen to it on my podcast app. I love these, but they're often too long for the part of my job when I'm not making too much noise with a vacuum cleaner. Thanks for sharing the fun. Cam, I loved the story you told before the session really started. But what if a humanoid became undead? Still a humanoid, and a sorcerer gives up some things to be able to protect self with a spell. Still, it turned out okay.

I'm on a rematch but it has been a while. I choose to believe that Daji's marriage being in tatters but not really is just Daji in universe thinking his wife hates him and left him but in fact it was just a minor point of contention followed by her leaving the house. Like he thinks she's divorcing him because he's a bad husband but she's just annoyed he didn't pick up potatoes on the way home and went to get them herself.

I do love cam as a dm but I sort of feel like he only has one character? like all of his characters are super introspective and deep ... I haven't really seen him do 'dumb' or 'loud' so far

To be fair, I prefer introspective to stupid and loud. To be honest, the fact that practically all of the major NPCs in Dales' campaigns have been dumb is getting somewhat tiresome.
