Just play, lose, get your XP. Victims play with level 0 players and don’t back out. Even with 2 level 00 you can get yourself a kill if you’re good at the game.

This will hurt the game ALOT. Most people try to upgrade Victims and Family members that have a lower level perk, if someone always have a person you want to play with especially if you PAID for someone, then the only way this will work is if you have a PRE SELECTION MENU that you can kind of pick who you would like to play with before the lobby starts.

A penalty for lobby dodging is a terrible idea. There are times when I need to leave a lobby bc I'm partied up & the game breaks our party, then we end up in different lobbies. So now when this happens we'll end up with a penalty. Its a good thing because people constantly dodging lobbies is the reason why lobbies take so long to start, why should players be forced to wait 10 - 15 minutes in a lobby because some moron decides to drop for whatever stupid reason, and then other players in the lobby have to be forced to wait 5 minutes for the last slot to be filled, and when that last slot is filled, that person lobby dodges and we have to wait another long time.

@@JUDGE_MNTAL It's normal you can't use all of the perks. Some combos would just be way too op to balance out like Serrated + Venom on Hitchhiker. You can only choose one of those and that's how it should be. I agree it might be fun to have access to all of the perks for designated characters, but it might make some of them absolute monsters for the meta. Some perks are stronger and that shouldn't even be surprising. You can't balance out all of the perks to be equally strong. Each victim and family member has a different role, so they have access to different perks. For example Ana is supposed to be a tanky distraction, not focused on proficiency, so she will likely have toughness and strength perks rather than proficiency and stealth, while Connie should be rather stealthy and focused on objectives while avoiding family, so she won't have many strength perks on her tree. I don't really see a problem with perks in this game, since the only problematically broken perks at the moment seems to be Scout and maybe Choose Fight.

Played almost all day yesterday with the new update and here's my experience as an Xbox player. First off, there was only 2 lobbies that failed to fill up, and second I only had one match where a killer left. The reason he left was because he couldn't find matches he liked. In other words, he didn't know the saying "You get what you get, and you don't throw a fit." The only people I've heard complain while in a lobby are people who don't get the character they want, don't have the map they want, or they're on a team with new players. How do you expect new players to stick around if you avoid them and don't bother helping them like the team you're supposed to be? Anyways, love the thunder on Nancy's House, and really look forward to more weather in the other maps. Admittedly, I was hoping there were moments where the thunder was loud enough to cover noise you make if you time it right, but I can see how that would be unfair and make thunder maps more victim sided.

Most players dodge the mill, especially family as it's not family friendly without mics, and 95% of players don't use voice chat. Then the reason some lobby take so long to fill is because players are stuck doing the mill, which can take for ever. The mill is a problem and dodgers ain't going to stop because of a 3min pen, it takes that long to get a game so they wait the 3min. This pen will just cause players to leave the game, players we don't have to lose

Maybe it's a stupid idea but let's say they add an offline play mode that you can play while waiting for the lobby. Once the lobby is ready, you get a prompt asking you if you want to leave the offline play. It would make the players stop losing their time doing absolutely nothing.

I’ve watch your videos and even played with you guys as family once so I agree and disagree with most of your opinions as it’s your take and I have mine but this sort of sounds like it’s more of solo queues lobby dodging (could be wrong here) but the only time I’m backing out of a pre game lobby is when I’m going into another match and realize it didn’t bring my friend into the match lobby with me.. seems to happen a lot when playing with people on different consoles, but I don’t think this is a good fix for lobby dodging as it’s still going to happen as most people are not going to care for a 3 min penalty and further push people away from playing as family cause it seems the penalty is mainly for them but we just have to wait and see how this actually does or if it even approves anything or is this a way for the devs to shift the blame for not knowing how to fix the problem with lobby back filling :/

Doesn’t matter as soon as the match starts players can still disconnect without a penalty. A penalty NEEDS to be added if you disconnect during the game intentionally.

They just gotta make it so when I join a lobby, I join as my selected character and am not forced into another choice which I haven’t leveled up. If I want to play Johnny, the game should find a lobby in which nobody has Johnny selected. However, this should be disregarded if a new killer / victim is added because everyone will play as them. If truly no lobbies are available, then you should have another character selected for you.

Hasn't fixed the problem, just moved it. People not wanting to play (on either side for any reason) would quit the lobby. Now, they're stuck in it so they simply quit the second the game starts. For the rest of us, we start a game only to see people dropping out instantly. The other side is players forced to stay in will simply troll the game before quitting.

Its been fun watching the communities reaction to this. So many people self snitching as lobby dodgers. If they could just put in an in match dc penalty system it would be great. Its taken far too long for something like this to be implemented. They allowed dodging to become a normal part of the gameplay experience for so long that its going to feel like hitting a brick wall. For everyone saying this will only hurt the game dont really see the bigger picture. Will people leave? Sure but the only people who will leave out of frustration will be the lobby dodgers so we arent really losing anything important and hopefully now the game and communities can start building better, healthier gameplay habits. Who am i kidding, its the tcm community, if gun gave everyone $5 they would complain that its not 6 and why didnt they choose the euro.

useless system, lobby dodgers can just wait for the game to start and then dc/leave. boom, no penalty. GUN really has no idea how to fix the technical issues with their own game. it blows my mind that the lobby backfill issue has been going on for nine months and they're still trying to figure out the cause. can you imagine any tech position where someone would keep their job this long without fixing such an essential aspect of their product?

Do you hear yourself? Dodging lobbies is not on the game, its the players, 1. They don't get to play the character they want so they dodge, there are plenty of great characters to play as in the game. 2. They leave because they refuse to play with low levels players, seems to very common in many asymmetric games including multiplayer games 3. They leave the lobby because they want to invite a friend. Why didn't they invite the player from the start before selecting the option to match up? 4. Most Family Mains don't like playing on The Mill, or Slaughter House map because it feels Victim Sided. I've seen plenty of Family players win on both maps easily. 5. Most Family players refuse to play against Danny, even though he got Nerfed, many times they express the need to dodge the lobby whenever they see a Danny players. These are the complaints that I've seen in the comment section, and this is more of a player issue, not a game issue, don't get me wrong, this game has a lot of problems, but lobby dodgers is the biggest issue plaguing this game, why should people be free to lobby dodge at any time and ruin the game for other people? most people just want to play and have fun regardless if they win or lose.

No, it is not the games fault that you cannot play whatever character you want, there are times that I want to play Virginia because I want to level up her Ability to level 3, but I can't play as her because somebody else is using her, the problem with most players today is that they're impatient, in later games I have been playing as Virginia a lot this week, but you don't see me crying about it like an entitled brat, just because you pay 40 bucks for a game and can't play as the character because somebody is using him/her doesn't mean you're never going to play as that character ever again, but that shouldn't be an excuse to lobby dodge just for the sake of picking that character, there are plenty of characters to choose from until the next game that character is available. I just play the hand I'm dealt. I don't lobby dodge but I definitely support this update. I'm hoping a single player/multiplayer bot mode will be coming. That way you can just play alongside friends and learn the map but also as a single player you can avoid trolls and griefers. Some of us just want to play the game and have fun. Not be a jerk because we dealing with issues offline.

I never left lobbies until i came back from a break from this game and i don't know Mill map and to be honest it seems stupid. So leave everytime it pops up. I don't know why they don't have offline play against bots so you can practice and learn certain shit.

Dodging lobbies is the only line of defense for family, unfortunately. Getting into sweaty after sweaty game, on the most sweaty maps as a public player is miserable. When you have your own party, and have some idea how your team plays, it’s different. But playing with random teammates that are playing irrationally, it sucks not being able to freely choose the game you want. I can’t do Abandoned Mill and Slaughter House for two hours, while partnered with Sissy and Johnny’s the entire time. It’s horrible.

Dodging lobbies as a "line of defense for Family," clearly shows how terrible you guys are as players, I've been playing this game since launch and I dealt with far worse matchmakings, mostly sweaty and non sweaty matches, and 100% of the time I play solo, and I play both sides, I don't lobby dodge because I'm partnered up against low level players, while you choose to cower and freely dodging lobbies because you're afraid of having miserable games, meanwhile everybody else has to suffer those long wait times, that is why Im glad they're adding this lobby dodging penalty, this is something they should have added from the very beginning.

​@SlashNCast Helping Newbies is fine but getting consistently matched with them like most Family do gets frustrating and let's be honest no one wants to have that one teammate. I love new players glad they're coming in they're keeping the game alive but If someone doesn't want to have a 2v4 or a 1v4 or Vice-versa for the sides they shouldn't have to. The Devs continue to treat the game casually when the Majority of Players are playing Competitively there doesn't need to be mmr but at least a safety net to set new players for like 10 matches with just new players to get a hang of it. Can't really teach people when if your new to Victim will probably die in the first 5 minutes and Family getting rushed because the team is basically down a player the game itself is not new player friendly theres almost no opportunities to learn with games being so fast for them on either side they cant get proper experience. A big example is the perks. But I agree I wish New Players were treated better. That's just my view though.
