It's no coincidence that I watched your story tonight. My son literally just went through this, this past month, with his brand new wife. She had chosen him as the final bachelor and married him, but it very quickly became painfully clear that she is still deeply in love with her high school boyfriend of four years. Hope he is doing better now. Getting divorced sucks, but it also sucks staying with someone who you don't love, or worse, who doesn't love you, because I truly believe everybody deserves to be loved. He will get past this, maybe not today maybe not tomorrow, but he will look back in years to come and thank his lucky stars she did this, because by then, he will have found the love of his life. UGH!!! I'm so sorry for your son! I thought about my own son while watching this video and pray he never goes through this! My son's social group was largely Mormon (even though he's a Christian) and he dated 3 girls in that group throughout high school and they seemed pretty wholesome, but they all played him like a cheap violin bc he is not a Mormon. The last girl he dated ruined his 18th birthday last year (September 3rd), which ruined it for us as his parents too. I just pray God is preparing a Godly wife who will ONLY love my son. This was just painful to watch. I hope your son holds on for God to send him the true love of his life.❤️

That was almost 20 years ago. I was 22, broken off of an abusive relationship, a single mom with a beautiful little girl ..... I sat there and watched your entire love story testimony. Although I’m older and have no children and have not experienced the kind of love that you describe, it has given me hope that there actually is real love in the world. I grew up horribly abused as a child and always told I wasn’t good enough. I made terrible decisions based on just what I learned. I only accepted relationships where people treated me like garbage because that’s how I was raised. Now here I am older thinking that real love doesn’t exist because I’ve never really experienced it on this earth. I do know that I’ve experienced it with Jesus. How interesting life would be to find someone who loves you the way you are through thick and thin, good times and bad times, sickness and health. It is said All the time during wedding vows But the only man I have experienced is one who either fights or flies during tough times. That is fantastic to hear! My parents were a teenage couple that met on a blind date my moms junior year of high school. They married 6 months after her graduation. My parents were together until my mom died in 2005. My dad is just the best. Reminds me alot of Tanner in the devotion that he had for my mom. My dad has been with my stepmom for about 13 years, and he is just as devoted to her. My parents would still be together and madly in love if she had not passed. I myself have been with my guy for 20 years. Takes a lot to get through that long with 1 person. My guy and myself look at it like this. When something that you love breaks, you have 2 choices. Throw it away and get a new one, or have the broken one mended. When you love somebody, you don't throw away something like that whole relationship away and start over. You stay and figure out how to fix it! I wish you and your hubby many more years of being happily married 💜

Aaaggghhhhh! 😭😭😭😭 Seeing the part around 22:00 was one of the most painfully emotional things I've ever watched!! I've been in a similar situation, and knowing how Lo felt and watching her face just talking about it made me feel that exact same way!!! You literally feel like your heart is going to crumble into a million pieces, then melt inside of your body, and your soul will be eternally sad. He broke up with me before he left on his mission on SEPT 4th omg and then completely pushed me out of his life. He’s been away for 8 months. Its a yr later for me but i def did what u did! & watched back to back! They r the sweetest couple! Its to bad all the high school sweethearts who thought it was going to b didnt work out like these two! I have a gson who was w his gfriend for 8yrs starting in jr high! We all thought theyd stay together, they were such a good couple together! They went thru all lot in all the yrs they were together & they always made it thru. He loved her parents, they loved him as their own! & i loved her. Covid came, he stayed w them @ her parents for over a yr. I had to keep working. Didnt want to have him home w me & go back & forth taking risks. I work in health care. Then everyone started going back to work. She took a job that wasnt conducent w their plans they had made. One thing lead to another & they broke up a yr ago last xmas!! Basically xmas day he came & told me it was over btween them. He moved out the next day & that was it!! All were heart broken. Thought for sure theyd work it out, get back together. It didnt happen. He went thru a hard time. Especially w moving an hr away to where he worked. He not only lost his gfriend he lost his family of 8yrs. Her mom had a very hard x also losing him. As she was like a mom to him! He was also not used to being by himself! Always had a family around him. Was then up in mts an hr away all by himself! Broke my heart! But he worked it all out for himself. Started dating..after quite a few dates & many mths he met another girl who hes been dating for a few mths now! So as fragile as they might seem & hurt as they r. She after 8yrs was not his destiny! & hes on a different path w someone else that is very sweet. I actually have not met her yet. Do know of her from my gson talking. He is stronger for going thru what he did. & he still keeps in touch w his x's mom. They txt, talk which im very happy about as she is one of my dear friends after all these yrs!!Know matter how much we want to protect them from being hurt, its not up to us! & his x is on her own journey, dating someone else that actually was part of the reason for the break up, according to him. Theres two sides to ea story though! I wish her only the best. Just want them all to b happy in whatever they choose! I could only pray my gson ends up as happy as these two r & someday start his journey on being a husband & a father when hes ready! He has a lot of the same qualities as tanner! That was such a brave thing to do, to open up about a very private part of your lives... so honest and raw. Young girls and boys need to understand and hear about all kinds of love stories. Wow, this was an emotional story. I had to take a few breaks from it, I was so overcome! Lauren, I admire your honesty and openness with these young men. Love your story! I was told the night I met my husband he was my future companion, he wasn't a member of the church, and I was waiting for my missionary. I'm so glad I listen to that voice, my husband joined the church and has a wonderful testimony...plus we have been married 39 years next month. I was 19 less then a month when we were married.
