This is behind the scenes footage showcasing the factory supported Lobo KX250 of 9x GNCC Champion Bill Ballance going up against the 250R of William Yokley. It was filmed by the H-Bomb Films crew while Wes Miller was shooting Huevos 2 in 1999. Watch until the end to see interviews with both Ballance and Yokley.

I'm 49 yrs old from Kalamazoo Michigan. I still have an '87 trx250r survivor I bought in 1999. Original bore, still has cross hatch marks. Equipped with 90's era Dynoport MX pipe and silencer. Pro-lite, V-Force, Roost Boost, replacement OEM plastics. Every other Saturday I wiff the delicious odor of burnt Klotz Super Techniplate as it tries to tear my arms out of their sockets. I WILL NEVER SELL IT. Love the movies! You did great work. Huevos 3 was my favorite. I was big into the soundtrack at the time

Red or Blue? I am a sucker for the 88' Red, 89' Mostly white are ok, most of the 86"-87" got rode into the dirt.. I have restored a Quadzilla and a CR500, My next project will be a 250r!! Also From Michigan, Belleville area is where I grew up, Been in Manistee area for the past 5yrs.. love it Up here, found my forever home! 😂 Go Blue!!

I remember seeing that Kawi in Dirtwheels back then. Was so stoked to see a potentially new 2 stroke race machine coming to the market. I was very disappointed that machine never saw the light of day, and that the death of 2 strokes in racing was only a few short years away.

I had a kxf 250 tecate. It had a broken power valve stem when I got it. I replaced that and did some seat of the pants exhaust port work at the same time. I also owned an 85 cr500. Added an extra base gasket to it. Between the 2 I can't tell you which was more impressive. They both punched hard. I'm 6'4", also added 4" to the swingarm on the tecate and redid the shock. Lot of hill climbing at croom.

It’s hard to explain to people that think a stock 450 is hard to hang on to, just how much different a well built 250 2 stroke in an aftermarket chassis is. I’ve been on Zillas, banshees, 250rs and countless 450s but a laegar framed 250r is by far the wildest thing I’ve thrown my leg over. New subscriber but longtime fan! This video is awesome! Your Heuvos series helped inspire my video career. You’ve had a lot of influence in my work and I want you to know it’s appreciated! I’d love to see some 4x4 action from back in the day! Here’s a Lobo build on my channel! ROLL Design's LOBO 250R Build - Part1 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZKtc5Sfa7SNpNE

Always liked going to Balance MX way back when. Nice facilities and well groomed track. Concrete start and all.

Ahhh the good ol days! If I knew then what I know now I would have bought every 250r and banshee I could get my hands on. Or at least I would have kept every dirt bike, quad , and truck I owned.😂
