Those places are serene and beautiful indeed. You'd just have to become a cursed immortal being, exiled from your home, loved ones and doomed to struggle against nigh impossible odds (not completely impossible mind you) to finally make it end. People seem to forget that ds2 and ds3 make explicit points (something the series rarely does) about the undead being cursed for having to exist as undead at all. "You remain among the accursed" -prince Lothric And all that. But the beauty and calm of Firelink and Majulah shine all the brighter for the bleakness that surrounds them. Powerful contrast. There'd be hope.

Loved the talk about which Final Fantasy games you liked. It made me rethink how I talk about games, helped me better understand others' opinions. It makes complete sense that you'd like FFXIII better than IX, when IX is all about character, story, and themes, while XIII is mechanics-driven. Even I, as someone who ranks IX as maybe my favorite in the series, will admit that the gameplay mechanics aren't nearly as interesting as VIII or X.

I agree, but tbh I enjoyed Ds2 quite a lot. It’s a good game, but not as good as the other souls games. Though pvp was great in it. I think they just needed more time to work on the game because they really cut back on the graphics and all of that. It’s clear they can make a great game just judging by how SOTFS DLC is.

It was patched. I remember my friend using a faith build doing 67 damage to Sinh, a DRAGON. Pure Spell faith builds are incapable of beating the game.

Man, you're missing out on Bellowing Dragoncrest ring and Crown of Dusk (both about +20-25% to pyro damage). At least at 1:08:30 mark. I hope you'll recall that later... P.S. Yeah, I know that most people don't give shit about casting spells in Dark Souls. But that's how I have played it for years, and the neglection or certain stuff makes me sad :(

Spell only is one of the easier runs to do given spells are utterly OP in DS1. Stack int as quickly as possible and rescue the guy in the lower berg for better spells early on and spell ring then enjoy crushing everything and only getting more OP as you get stronger spells.

How I did it: RTSR and Wolf ring plus some armor with poise, I proceed to beat Capra Demon. Now I can access Laurentius and upgrade my pyromancy flame along with new spells. At Queelag, I use my newfound firepower (no pun intended) to kill Mildred beforehand. I then summon her to kill Queelag, whicg I keep distracted with my plenty fireball cast At Chaseless Discharge, I allow me to punch him, since it's fire proof

I love Lobo more and more all the time. I too don't see the point in the gift buying of Christmas and all I got this year was a day in bed with my friend, and it was nice, but I prefer to get things around the year and I likewise give people things when I feel they deserve them. Who else here feels that Christmas is a little overhype? It's the only religious holiday that the United States Government observes and I find that obnoxious. I however will NOT buy my kid things for Christmas, or tell them about Santa. Christmas, a holiday transmogrified from the Roman Saturnalia, isn't about gifts but freedom, love and philial piety. I'd rather spend the day with my kids and teach them and play games. What about you guys?

I mostly treat presents the same way, if I actually see something I think someone would like I'll pick it up, or if I just feel like giving someone a little something. I think the main reason it can feel even nicer is cause there's no tradition telling you you're supposed to give them anything, you just want to. On birthdays we usually just have a nice day with good food etc., maybe a small present, but I don't want people to spend considerable money on a gift for a gift's sake

Just saying, poison mist counts as pyromancy, and you got it before Qualaag's battle. I don't think she is immune to the poison debuff caused by it. As a mystic knight, I need a type of magic, and between sorcery, miracle, or pyromancy, pyromancy has it's main catalyst, pyromancy flame, which weighs nothing and has no stat requirements. I heard in DS2 pyromancy flame was after flexial sentry, meaning I'll need dark pyromancy flame instead in DS2, as it is in the gutter. If I get the silvercat ring and cat fur greaves, both lower fall damage, I should reach it early, but it may be expensive. Pyromancy is also very useful as there are 4 types: fire, chaos (lava), status (buff self or debuff enemy), and dark, though they are much more useful in DS3. Great chaos fire orb is very useful against Lorian in Lothric's battle, allowing Sirris and myself to attack Lothric after Lorian is down. Nameless king is weak to dark, so black fire orb is fairly useful, same for against soul of cinder, though as the true lord of Lothric, I, Lord Reptile Stormblade, have Yuria and the pale shade as allies, further making the battle easier. I could always change out a pyromancy for another pyromancy since I have all pyromancies that are not DLC content, but I will not replace black serpent. Why not? Simple. I have the silver and gold serpent rings (both +2), the snake warpaint (appeal only), a dark caduceus round shield +10, and a dark man-serpent hatchet +10 (got the hatchet from a man-serpent the ancient wyvern killed, I prefer not killing them since snakes are my favorite animals) I might get remastered if it has everything DS1 did, might get a flamberge in it but only if possible without killing the man-serpents, and also will 1-hand it so I'll still have pyromancy available.
