Omg yes, I missed it on my first go but did it on my second and it's just so good all the way through, even ignoring his mid-fight dialogue he's probably one of the best VAs in the DLC. I actually beat Bayle with him today and Igon staggered him at 2% hp then got the killing blow. It was so hype.

For anyone that's wondering, the furnace golems with the armored legs are a "puzzle." Won't spoil where unless asked; there is a note somewhere in-game that gives hint on how to kill them.

I've really appreciated this playthrough. I'm a huge Souls fan, but I've never enjoyed open world games, so sadly I've just never clicked with Elden Ring the way I thought I would. So while I've never enjoyed playing ER myself, I do thoroughly enjoy watching it being played.

Would you really care if this game didnt had the nth copy pasted cave/mine/ruin with some normal enemy with a boss health bar? At least the DLC slightly fixed that and actually had unique bosses in them.

Regardless, there are some aspects of the open world that I like, and some that I dislike. I enjoy being able to choose in what order I take on challenges, and I like being able to rush certain items more quickly than I would in a more linear game. However, I agree with your points that you made about some of the side areas in the base game feeling pretty samey and pointless on repeat playthroughs.

I don't think I've ever seen you use a Raw Meat Dumpling before, even though it always seemed to me like they might be really worth it in situations where there's no other person build-up and the flask is empty. Is the poison build-up it causes too severe?

Raw Meat Dumpling basically insta-procs poison, which does deal a % of your max health. It's nothing too severe, it's like .07 per tick or something like that, but not everyone wants a heal item that then immediately begins to drain your health again; and, you don't always have the time to eat a dumpling and a bolus together

8:15 Oh they did actually change something. Ok so I'm not tripping. But like... why, what's the benefit of making every action take longer. It's so annoying trying to max out a weapon from +0, cause before you could do it in like 10 seconds now you need like a minute. Also traveling on the map takes like an extra second. And like sure it's not the end of the world, but it's the weirdest change, for 0 added value and an added mild inconvenience.

I do appreciate how Lobos still does proper titles, but man does YT hate it. Video queued up in autoplay is a Lobos vid from 2 years ago, recommendations begin with random ER videos with 17 views and you have to scroll down half a page to get to part 3. Glad to see he got wrecked by the Putrescent combo spam, tbh. That's the only part about that fight (plus the forced slow entrance) that's truly bad imo. Jumping over the fire waves reminded me of mmo gameplay and was very intuitive and most of the other chops are also fairly easy to understand. Just the "I'm running away, you dodge for the next 10 seconds now" thing irks me.
