Loved this video, thank you for sharing! I’m 4 months in and feel like this was the best decision I’ve made for my hair, so I totally get how you said you weren’t into your loose natural hair. Could you do a hair tutorial video on how you did your bun? Do you get a headache when you do updos?

i’m so glad you found value in the video 😊 i can def work on a styles video! if i get my hair styled by my loctician, it’ll hurt for the first day or so. but for the most part, i tend to do low tension styles or wear my hair down to prevent irritation!

I have a question. Why get locks, an ethnic hairstyle, if you don’t like the natural look? It’s more focus on it looking sleek. Doesn’t that defeat part of the journey?

hi, thanks for asking! i got locs because it was something i’ve always wanted since i was a child. in regards to wanting it to look “sleek”, it’s purely preference. by sleek, i simply mean i don’t go more than 4-5 weeks without a retwist. the beautiful thing about hair is that it’s unique to each person! my journey is my own and unique to myself :)
