I’m keeping the stack, especially on a Cummins. I’m a Duramax guy myself but do think that Cummins just have the best sound.

I work for a machine shop that does alot of work for Dirty Diamond, more than likely if machine work was done to the engine within the last few years, I did the work to the block and surfaced and/or fire rung/ o-rung and cnc ported the head (another guy does the valve jobs and hand porting)

I daily drive a hood stacked LBZ Pros: Better throttle response and sounds great Cons: it is obnoxiously loud especially if you are going on a long drive, gives you headaches occasionally and you have to cover it every time you go inside in case it rains. And yes, it paints the cab. That being said, it is obnoxious and I love it especially with my 10 blade🤣🤣

Fuel neck: You can cut a hole in the corner of the bed's floor and cover it with a flap. There is no other way to do it, really. It's either that or keep raising the bed. I did this a long time ago where Alcohol may or may not have been involved. It worked great for many years.

I used to have an '84 square body w/6.2 Detroit diesel. It had a bed stack. I thought it was cool at 1st. Within a month, i hated it and was delighted to get that hunk of shit off of my truck. Loved the straight pipe axle dump i put on, but then there was a frickin hole in the bed.....that shit is just stupid, unless it's a drag truck or sled truck or just an off road rig. Dylan would be buying me a new hood and paint job! Wait until there's moisture in that stack, and black muck is thrown all over it. Haha, never again on mine. Have fun with it! Sounds like it's running really good, though. 👍

I love duramax. Been a duramax guy since my parents brought home their lbz probably 15 years ago or so. It is now gone and they have a deleted and tuned 5th gen 6.7 Cummins. It’s….its aight. It sounds cool that’s about it. I have a deep love for built 12vs. Has to be a 2nd gen though.

Leave it since ur usin fer dumping logs with dump bed u dont need to worry bout exhaust tip gettin crushed from backing into a pile and put filler neck in front of the dump before build a bracket u can still use in while beds down were the fuel doors at but enough the bed still clears it goin up or down

It’s a mechanically fuel injected truck it’ll always have a bit of smoke if your pushing power you can’t tune it out like a common rail truck
